No but we've all seen the emails showing that the fight was discussed, some people piss me off they make make out Cleverly only fights bums but he fought Tony Bellew in Liverpool and won a close decision and they both haven't fought great opponents since yet Bellew is seen as the best thing while Cleverly is slated if Cleverly was with Hearn would he still get the same stick and for the record i was at the Echo supporting Bellew

Froch was offered Cleverly at a catch weight and refused to fight him. Go figure.

There ain't much to figure out though, really is there. There's a sackful of reasons why Cleverly is a crap fight for Froch.

For me it is a good keep busy fight for Carl Froch in front of his home fans before he goes to defeat Lucian Bute again in Montreal and then fighting any out of.

Ward (again in Nottingham)
Kessler (again in Nottingham)
Stevenson (could be an IBF mandatory in the distant future)
Pavlik (still a name stateside despite his problems out of the ring)

Kessler won't take the fight outside of Denmark apparently and Ward also would only fight at home, meaning that this weekend is set to be Carl's last hurrah in Nottingham...http://www.thisisnottingham.co.uk/World ... story.html

I read reports earlier this year from Froch saying that after Bute he will fight 2 or 3 more fights, which to me means Mack this Saturday, Bute in March and then Kessler in the Summer. Even as a big fan of Froch I'd say to let the Ward fight go if he is only to fight 2 or 3 more times, I can't see Andre slipping up any time soon and can't imagine anything other than a Ward win in a rematch if it were to happen.

i dont believe it will be his last fight in Nottingham , if he keeps winning he says he sees no reason to not keep fighting , which will see him in nottingham again yet .

Also ive heard BIG rumours of a huge Nottingham show in summer with Wollaton park being a possible venue
