Cardle, Bellew, Froch RBR

Post by JLP »

Cardle's fight has just finished. It was rather dull to say the least. His opponent was a spoiler. Cardle W PTS 80-70

Don't see the appeal of Cardle whatsoever. Maybe I'm missing something.

I think there is talent there but he's missing something...well something other than the defensive stuff. Certainly plenty of improvements to be made, but he's still young.

Callum Smith looked tidy on debut but I bet he thought he'd have an easier night than he did. Blackwell did well.

I can see why Dan Blackwell hasn't been stopped, Smith did ok in there I think he needs to develop his strength more and get that jab more of a ramrod shot. but a decent debut and looking forward to seeing him again.

X2 :TU:

Great variety of shots from Smith. Great technique. An improved jab would be the major weapon for him. Bright future. Kudos to Blackwell though.

did seem to be by that left hook, He has the best cutman in the world in his corner, and the ref isn't going to rush into a stoppage with the home guy

Bellew is powerful and his jab is good, but he telegraphs all his power shots. Going to need to be trickier to stop this guy

Bellew needs to stop him. That won't hold up for twelve rounds.
Bolonti is a awkard sod ain't he. keeps the right hand up so Bomber can't wing the left hook in upstairs in the 6th round but Williamson has done a good job with the cut.

Got it 70-61 to Bomber after 7 rounds at the moment stepped up at the end with some good right hands. Needs to throw a few more though.
