The promoter(s) who receive a regular cheque fron BSKYB will obviously find their cashflow far easier to manage than those who were and then, suddenly, weren't.

They need to manage their cashflow, just like any other business.

In fact, they are in a better position than most businesses who sell their product/service on credit terms as the spectators have to pay for their tickets in advance.

That's a very good point. Where is the money coming from? If Fury is getting £500,000 you'd have thought Price would be getting a similar amount. That's the thick end of a million quid. For a company that's insolvent that's a hell of a wedge to come up with.

The Board really need to find a way to do something about this, if they possibly can.

People have suggested that no promotors = no boxing?

I've suggested before, if there were no promotors (exclude small hall shows), the TV company can surely sort the venue/logistics etc. and they, in essence, promote the fight anyway.

That way the TV, potentially in conjunction with the governing bodies, can ensure competative matches.

Was- Kandelaki ? With respect Georges last fight was at the Corn Exchange Ipswich against a journeyman -very little money.

Is- David Price. David has recently been putting pressure on Maloney and is now making some money but nowhere near in Lennoxs early days league or even Tyson Furys.

By this time next year Maloney will be retired and Price signed with another promoter
