Ken Buchanan vs Carlos Ortiz fight....Did Ortiz Quit?

forty years ago at the Madison Square Garden in NYC, Ken Buchanan beat by technical nocaut the great Carlos Ortiz. It was a fight that both of them looked plainly awful. You could forget about a rematch agaisnt the great Roberto Duran, Ken.

And Ortiz, at 36, was supposed to fight a young Duran of 21 years of age... Is someone kidding me?

I am glad that it was Esteban DeJesus as the substitute to fight Duran instead of Carlos. Right now, not too many Puerto Ricans would have love to see their hero get beat up by Duran. It would have been a MASSACRE!

Did Ortiz quit on this fight? I did not see nothing wrong with him until the stoppage.
