I just found a film of Harry Greb hiding in plain sight!

Dont get excited. Its not fight footage, its not even training footage. In fact its a film that Im sure a lot of boxing history buffs and film collectors already have. Anyone want to take a guess what it is? I'll give you a hint. Its very short, Greb is in street clothes, and it has a couple of other famous fighters in it as well.

The reason no fights films exist of Greb is due to his horrifying yet factual vampire lineage. Camera's (like mirrors) were not able to contain his image. The fights that WERE filmed ominously reveal only one man (Greb's opponent) in the ring.

The images were considered so disturbing and macabre, that the films were burned by religious zealots bent on keeping the secret of such demons (as in the case of Greb) very existence, a secret from humanity, forever.

Here is simply one more case of the great churches of the world feeling compelled to control critical truths, in order to keep the masses from destroying the world in sheer unbridled panic, should such realities ever be revealed.

quite wrong buzz. it is a little known fact that all of grebs bouts took place in churches. harry was a very religious man. the ones the papers reported on were fought by greb's lesser known brother kevin. however, the famous incident when mickey walker and greb fought it out in the street WAS harry who thought that his younger brother hadnt given "the toy bulldog" a good enough whipping.

the quote by doc kearns about dempsey not fighting greb because he was too rough was really aimed towards kevin greb who had been taught a few tricks by his church-going brother.
