Like I said, he's raw. I saw him sparring Wlad a few weeks back, though, and he's improving. He's also exciting and not fat.

Like I said, he's raw. I saw him sparring Wlad a few weeks back, though, and he's improving. He's also exciting and not fat.

Haye against Banks is a case of who lands 1st in my book. Banks is a very good fighter. More skilled than Haye if you ask me. Haye just throws bombs and has NO JAB and a weak chin/questionable stamina.

This always gets me. Haye is increably fit. Just because he bombs guys out early doesn't mean he has poor stamina. Compared to 99.99999999999999999999% of Heavies he has great stamina and done 12 rounds vs Klit easy (you can't use Thompson fight as an example)

He took Wlads best punches so has a decent chin to be fair and a great defence (vs Wlad - even though offence was poor)

Banks is a career cruiser so faster on his feet than most hweavies.

Haye was kankered against Chisora and found the shots well. His stamina is always going to be questionable. Against WLAD he did eff all for 12 rounds apart form throw himself on the floor. There is a reason why he throws so few punches a round.

Haye vs Bank would be a good final eliminator.

I'm with you on that, don't see how anyone can rate a fighter like Wilder when he has literally fought the softest opposition I've seen outside of a German national fighting in Germany. I also had a flutter on Banks & a bit of a gloat after (see my ickle post on the Current Scene)...

Banks seemed to be a small cruiser to me, I have never been impressed with him at Heavyweight. I just got the impression he wanted to cash in on his skill cause the Heavyweight devision is very bare. He didn't fancy it at the far more talented Cruiserweight devision (at the time there was Adamek and Cunnigham to consider also).

It's true what you say, Stu, totally agree. I said in my "Bertie Big Bollocks" correct predict-o-post that Banks has the talent & the right hand to beat Mitchell but looks lazy & applies his gifts stupidly.

Glad he's got a big win though. Nice to see a "proper" size heavy do well...
