WSB Week 2 Live Now (Fri 2139) GB v ITA

Lionhearts won 4-1

Just watched it delayed on espn. Decent win against last years winners although Fred Evans was lucky to nick the last bout I thought and the 1st fight was stopped on cuts. Selby looked brilliant although needs to improve defence.

I think the WSB concept is good. There needs to be a few tweaks here and there but overall it's something I genuinely hope takes off properly and thrives. Boxing fans should get behind this if only for the fact every fight on every card is live i.e. no journeymen boxing to lose.

That is a very good point, all competitve matches, no patsys, fall guys.

Was there last night. Selby looked great. This format suits him down to a tee. Joyce, a relative novice international boxer, beat a guy who's had over 10 pro fights and beaten the likes of Vidoz. Great win for him.

Joyce needs to relax, loosen up and start moving his head. If he does those things and stays focussed he could do pretty well. He just seems a little rigid and disjointed at the moment. He's got a lovely fast jab when he gets it going. I like him.

Agree, he looks quite rigid, like a young Frank Bruno! In great nick for a big guy and still early days for me.JLP wrote:Joyce needs to relax, loosen up and start moving his head.
