Does anybody saw the Top Five Reasons You Can't Blame on ESPN Classic about Mike Tyson for losing to Buster Douglas? Those who didn't watch it, these are the top five reasons you can't blame Tyson for losing to Douglas:
5. The Death of Tyson's manager and trainer Cus D'Amato
4. Robin Givens-Some guy said she loves Tyson's money than her ex-husband.
3. Tyson's corner are inexperienced
2. Tyson's ability are overrated
1. Buster Douglas himself shows courage to beat Tyson.
So what do you think? Are there more top reasons you can't blame on ESPN Classics you want to see in boxing?

I think you can at least in part blame Tyson for this one. Tyson really knows his Boxing inside and out, he was also very rich. So he could have hired a better cornerman.kovit wrote:3. Tyson's corner are inexperienced
Thats some hypocritical bullsh*t, what about the bloodthirsty fans that watched the so called brutal beating Meldrick took for 12 rounds...what the hell was stopping it 2 seconds early really proving, thats such bullshit.walshb wrote:I think with the unfortunate death of Johson recently, it is clear that Steele made the right call all along...anyone who disagrees is a seriou bloodthirsty fan

I'm not quite sure how much impact #4 and #5 had. Even though D'Amato trained Tyson and was the most important person in his life, Tyson hadn't even won a belt when D'Amato died. Kevin Rooney's departure was a much bigger blow to Tyson than D'Amato's death.
As for the Robin Givens thing...I really doubt that had a huge impact on Tyson's fighting ability...a ton of fighters have gone through bitter divorces while they were at or near the top. It's not something that should effect a fighter too much.

i think that, along with don king throwing girls and money at him is what ruined what could have been one of the greatest careers in boxing historywalshb wrote:One reason only.....the loss of Kevin Rooney...the single biggest motivational force behind Mike during his peak...when he went, Tyson was on a downward spiral
