Hi there,
I recently made some enquiries to a current & former BBBOC licensed referee in regards to my wish of starting training to become a boxing referee.
The word from both of these chaps was that the area which I currently live in (Scotland) is over-saturated with boxing referee's and I would be much better sending off a letter of interest in becomming an Inspector with the board in Scotland.
I sent a letter off to the Area Secretary for Scotland and haven't heard back from him, I was just wondering if I had sent this letter to the wrong person & if so could someone point me in the right direction.
Cheers.

Why not try giving him a call on: 0141 332 0392 to see if he's received your letter.

Mate i wish him well , would be good if more boxers went into refereeing as then at least the refs would have more of an idea of when someones hurt etc to stop the fights at the right time and all that .Gazmac81 wrote:My Brother Kevin Mcintyre training to become a referee , needs to do Dummy scorecards for a year or so then will start refereeing.

Ian John Lewis still does dummy score cards. Or should that be that score cards done by a dummy?Gazmac81 wrote:My Brother Kevin Mcintyre training to become a referee , needs to do Dummy scorecards for a year or so then will start refereeing.
