I'm still baffled by the turn of events that allow a 'carefully picked opponent' to somehow end up as a clear betting favourite.

This is baffling me. Flintoff flew to as far as 2.5 but is back to 2.37 now on Hills. God knows what the best odds were on him on any site.

It must be a rush of money from the 'eee's tryin boxin, eee's gonna get his 'ead kicked in' crowd, just betting against him out of spite. I've heard a surprising amount of people saying this...

This is a proverbial piss in the wind to pick a winner. I would go for Flintoff on points as he will be well instructed to run and jab (just like in the Documentary).

But no one really knows, but its going to be like watching a fight in a pub car park.

The betting market for a rank novice debutant versus a guy who's fought before but there's no publicly available footage is obviously going to be all over the place with stabs in the dark from all concerned.

the standard is actually a lot better than i expected. But I did expect the absolute worst.

You have to give credit to Freddie. Anyone who stands toe to toe with another guy in the boxing ring has balls. Freddie fought poorly but he gave a good account for a guy who has never had any boxing experience. He never threw a single body shot or an uppercut for that matter, he went running in looking for that big shot, often his shots were slappy.

He gave all he could but he was very nervous and that showed. At the end of the day im sure the result was fair enough and not unpredictable I had Freddie winning on points all along.

I'm actually really impressed Flintoff managed to get up and recover so fast from that left hook he took in the second, on the replay it was a big shot right on the button and he didn't see it coming.

2.2 (12/10) for me with my 150 but I'v got it on the double with Fury (Fury was 1.20.)

I put it on purely because I thought as long as he didn't get knocked down and was aggressive (and I watched the Sky build up shows and in sparring he was throwing a lot despite shite tequnique) he would get the decision. Like I said earlier in the thread I was pretty sure the opponent would be around the same level of crapness as Freddie.
