Maybe I'm old fashioned, but shouldn't have Price been matched with some boxers that would extend him?

It's probably too late now, but I'm amazed Frank hasn't matched him with Zack Page in the past. Page would have given him 8 rounds.

When Frank was bringing Lennox Lewis along, Lennox was matched with Ossie Ocasio. It was a great learning fight for Lewis.

I really think Price needs rounds. This weekend is a perfect example.

Fury fights a defensive specialist, a spoiler and he got 12 rounds. He stuck to his game plan, boxed and proved his stamina.

Price was matched with a guy that everyone and his dog knew wasn't going to last long.

It's just my opinion and Frank Maloney knows a hell of a lot more about promoting heavyweight prospects than I do, but Price needs rounds.

Well, he had a slight dip after Chisora, but the Johnson win puts him well ahead of Price in terms of opposition.

If it's Thompson next for Price, that's a step in the right direction.

What makes me laugh with the Price nut huggers/football fans ,is that if Fury was fighting the same opponents as Price was being lined up against ,he would get even more stick for that than he does for his gypsy heritage
You gotta take your hat of to Fury ,hes heard his critics so has stepped it up got him self in good shape and is fighting credible opponents with an aim to fight for a title in a fight or two.
Price has looked good granted ,but come on what happened to him fighting David Haye or Chisora like he said he wanted two fights ago ? instead we got Fruadley and Skeleton
Price definitely is the most natural powerful heavyweight in briton,he has skills so lets see him fight one live opponent .

It's not just about level of opposition kevo, it's the type of opponent.

He needs to be matched with someone that will stretch him or make it difficult for him.

I agree, and I believe those fights will come. By the time Price is having his 20th fight, he'll be fighting/have fought Johnson level opposition (Thompson is around the same level IMO) and will have faced these tests we all want to see him face.

I agree - someone started a thread about Price, asking if anyone had ever had power like him. That sort of thing is ludicrous, he is very capable and has real physical advantages, he seems a very likeable man but he is not world class (as some have claimed) and he is not a dead cert to be the next dominant champion. Lets see him in with some of the high level European men and then we can wet ourselves. (Pele Reid looked fantastic when he was blowing all and sundry about remember).

Maloney milking Price was the Skelton fight really needed after Harrison.

Fury as much as I think price will beat him. Has fought better fighters and has actually been tested.Why not fight CHisora next.
