God no not Simmons, all hype...a bit like Thain in that he appears to be very average. Go Gary Cornish!

Probably not, but he's a hell of a lot more promising than the over-hpyed Simmons and the feather fisted Thain.

going on this year I would say Ronnie Clark, hes had 5 fights, 3 who were undefeated getting 2 draws away from home and stopping the other by putting him down 3 times in the first round. Also stopped Marvin Campbell putting him down 3 times in first round and won every single round v Al Hamidi. I am biased but no other scottish prospects are really testing themselves like him. Butcher has his first test coming up which is a good sign:)

Your probably right. Clarks had the better opposition and still unbeaten. Roberts, Slowey and Simmons etc have still to step up.

IF Slowey picks up a little bit of power he will be our next star. Matthew MacAllister can really box also. He's carries a bit of a dig aswell. Ronnie Clark can be really good IF he uses a little bit more of his brain. He has the Attitue and the power now he just needs to think about things a little more. Ronnie knows that's not a dig at him, but if he was a little more streetwise against Walsh he would have stopped him.

Noticed Ronnie has been sparring with Ricky Burns lately. If Billy has been giving Ronnie some advice also, this will definitely hold him in good stead next year.

Didn't know that but I suppose its logical, as Burns next opponent is a southpaw. 2013 could be a big year for Scottish boxers. Hope they all step up and press on for titles. Its easy saying guys look good against guys that don't hit back, but Clark is boxing live opponents, Matthew Mcallister beat Danny Conner who has since then went on a 5 fight winning streak, these are the reasons I picked these 2 guys. Slowey I have watched from the ams has the skills to go where he wants but hope he can plant his feet a wee bit more and am sure he'll get a few stoppages when people throw punches back at him.

No idea Simmo. He might end up on the St Andrews bill on the undercard of the Doyle v Limmond fight.
