If Flintoff wants to box good luck to him and all that. But fair's fair, with the standard of boxing a 2 mins rounds it should really have just been an unlicensed fight.

One criticism I find hard to swallow is the one that he shouldn't have been last on. Many times a bottom of the bill ticket-seller goes on last so all his fans don't walk out before the main event. The two Evangelou brothers are classic examples of this.
One of the bright points of last night was the other boxers on the bill got to fight in front of 5,000-6,000 excited fans, who all turned up early and stayed to watch every fight. With the way TV is now, would Vassell-Heffron even be a fight that will have happened, let alone that getting to be at the MEN Arena, rather than so leisure centre

Physically he was fit enough - and worse journeymen, eastern European types have been sanctioned to fight in this country before. They did a good job of making him to a re-test, so i assume like a lot of people involved they probably knew Dawson was not up to much and as such were willing to grant the license.
Although he said it wasn't a one off, the after math seemed to indicate the opposite, and he will gracefully slip away.
For the fighters before hand it was good for them to fight in front of a large crown and hopefully they will have gained some extra support.

They shouldn't have sanctioned him in my eyes because it was his first fight but still he wasn't as good as we were lead to believe.
That said, there have been some very bad fighters who have fought in the UK.
