Tonights Official RBR thread

Post by jameswilson »

People posting all over the shop about tonights fights so far, so lets keep it in here.

Magee not looking outclassed at all in the first. Close one but I thought Kessler just nicked it.

Hopefully Kessler can fight either Abraham or Oosthuizen around the same time as Carl rematches Bute. I don't think Abraham or his team will want it they seem to be going the route of defences against complete joke artists, but it would be good for Kessler to have a belt to bring to the table against Froch because the WBA regular title can't be unified whilst there is a Super champion (which Ward is.)

Tidy stuff from the Viking Warrior. Good performance but I'm sure alot of people will be saying Magee is 37 he's past it etc but noone has beaten him this way. Froch-Kessler a cert.

Bit late for people to start saying that, the majority give Magee a fair chance. Easy for everyone to see sense now.

Congrats Mikkel.

3 time world titlist, 1 time paper titlist.

Kessler-Abraham in March for the WBO title (possible, they're both promoted by Sauerland) with the winner fighting Froch at the City Ground in July - yes please!

One can dream.

No surprise from me. Magee may be born in the North but he has the heart of the south!!

A lot of posters on here seem to think Kessler is sliding a lot and Magee has improved. Most give Kessler the nod but very few counted Magee out completely.

It wasn't a majority but I was amazed by how many people thought Magee had a chance.

I expected Magee to last a little longer but had plenty of money on Kessler inside the distance.

I thought Kessler would win but I didn't think it would be as emphatic. Magee looked up for it but that first body shot that put him down was lethal.
