I would actually say SHOULD have, but it still doesn't mean that Janes' action were wrong. What I couldn't understand was the timing of Janes' action - he was having his best spell of an (at that time) evenly fought contest and he does that.

Kevin should have got DQ'd - if I remember rightly, he did it more than once and never got warned.

No you don't remember rightly. What actually happened was Janes came out arms flailing like a fuckin' windmill determined to derail Mitchell by fair means or foul and when and in a moment of frustrated madness he stuck the nut on. credit where credits due at a ruck in a pub car park it would have been a sweet move but in a licenced boxing match it deserved no less than a DQ. Janes was lucky to get away with it. Credit to Janes again though he didn't whinge when Kev slammed in a low blow shortly after. Dishes out but can take it a real brawler But apart from a bit of payback Mitchell fought a clean fight!!

Sorry Mulder, I did a typo - I meant to say that doesn't mean to say the Janes' actions were not wrong. They most definately were and he should have DQ'd. I still cannot understand why he did it, he was doing well at time and as you said a moment of madness that should have had a DQ.

The Mitchell's altercation what I was on about in my previous post (when he it the guy when he was down) happend in a different fight. Cannot remember the opponent, but he did so in one fight. Roy Jones got thrown out for worse and if it was Mike Tyson, Watt and McGuigan wouldn't have been almost laughing at it - as they were when Mitchell did it.

I am a fan, and he is definately growing up in the ring and not as wild as he was in his first few fights.
