HAHAHAHAHA get that flag out the way bitch or I will knock you the fornicate out!!!!
Re: IAN LEWISON v DORIAN DARCH FULL FIGHT VIDEO
Certainly fun to watch.
Lewison has skills, but needs to show a bit more dedication. Darch seems the opposite.
I couldn't help getting annoyed by the commentator referring to "Lewington" all the time! Thought the so-commentator was pretty good though (not sure who he is/was).

Ian is now with Don Charles who has said he will get 12lbs off Ian for the next fight.
Re: IAN LEWISON v DORIAN DARCH FULL FIGHT VIDEO
Good and then another 12lbs before his next fight. Lewison doesn't need to be over 16 stone. As I said in the other thread, I think he's pretty good and have done since seeing him in the amateurs, if he can up his work-rate and maintain it, I think he could get in the top-end of the domestic mix. Fury and Price will have moved on in 6 months and I see the British title changing hands three or four times in the 18 months after that; so plenty of chances for a shot for those with the application to prepare themselves.stevegoodwin wrote:Co-Commentator was Kevin Maree (Kenny Anderson's trainer)grub wrote:Certainly fun to watch.

I know having the adonis physique isn't everything, but better fitness will equate to better (and more sustained) boxing.
Re: IAN LEWISON v DORIAN DARCH FULL FIGHT VIDEO
Exactly. Don't get the impression from my post above that I think Lewison should be looking at himself in a mirror and doing dumbbell curls and triceps kickbacks. On the contrary. I think he should be watching what he's eating, doing some hard running and round after round after round of boxing training. Get himself looking like Joe Louis rather than a lard-arse.grub wrote:I know having the adonis physique isn't everything, but better fitness will equate to better (and more sustained) boxing.

It would have been good to see Darch as Freddie Flintoff opponent instead of the American.

Re: IAN LEWISON v DORIAN DARCH FULL FIGHT VIDEO
You are joking, he wasn't that bad. Though he lost, I quite liked him, he was fit, brave but he needs to sort that defence out and try and least move his head! He had decent handspeed but he should have stuck and moved because Lewison hasn't got the stamina at the moment but he played right into Ian's hands by trading blows, if you going to go into a gun fight - don't bring your pea shooter along. He hasn't got heavyweight power but he should keep going. Lewison needs to get down to a weight where he is not huffing and puffing like an asmathic pit pony. Which should be a tadge under under 16 stone.taffytoon wrote:It would have been good to see Darch as Freddie Flintoff opponent instead of the American.
No criticisms really - it was a cracking fight. Well done to both guys.
Oh yes, Darch would have stopped Freddie Flintoff in a round.

But isn't boxing all about levels? If Darch could get a Welsh heavyweight title and LewisonMacGuffin wrote:Sorry mate with the best will in the world they look pretty mediocre fighters (Fat Lad v Bodybuilder so it's no surprise) and although entertaining it was a very poor fight technically.Fat Git wrote:eff me - some people are never happy!MacGuffin wrote:They'd be okay in Prizefighter these two, but can't see either will go further than that.
Winning (or placing) in Prizefighter is probably the best either of the could aspire to.
a Southern Area title then they will have done OK. Most boxers are mediocre - it is like
5% have real sublime skills but if you match fighters properly then you could get some
good dust ups.
I think Lewison could go futher potentially but won't - he has always been a heavy set
fella who doesn't love training, what is going to change now is anyones guess. Darch just
needs to adopt a more defensive style with his fast hands and he can get a few more wins.
Neither are going to set the world alight I agree but I would love to see them fight again.

They wont fight again. Providing Ian gets down to under 17 stone I will get him some good fights. I believe if he really commits to training he could get major titles. Remember this is the guy that was ranked number 4 in the world as an amateur and beat Odlanier solis and Robert Helenius

Steve, good work with that fight - that was a fine bit of matchmaking, you brought over Audley for
Ali Adams so I believe you have the best interests for the fans and your boxers. But I don't think Lewison has ever been as light as 17 stone - even as a young amateur has he? If he could get down to that he would be a serious threat.

Both flat footed, unfit, sluggish, piss poor out of shape heavyweights who can't punch, no power what so ever.
Re: IAN LEWISON v DORIAN DARCH FULL FIGHT VIDEO
First I've heard that he beat solis & helenius, show me the proof ?? New he was a decent operator at amateur domestic level but that's it, also show me the proof he was ranked 4 in the world as amateur as I never seen his name in rankings..
Re: IAN LEWISON v DORIAN DARCH FULL FIGHT VIDEO
I doubt either will be very competitive in domestic title class but are both decent enough operators at area level.
The finishing blow was a classy shot though.
In fairness due to it being a grudge match defences really went out of the window making it an exciting scrap, you have to respect their effort and balls.

They've not made it all up just for a bit of a jape at your expense, mate. Lewison has always been a fairly talented boy. His amateur pedigree is legit but he's a lazybones. Some had him beating Price in the ABAs. Judge for yourself: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XF8biiVaI50the truth wrote:First I've heard that he beat solis & helenius, show me the proof ?? Re: IAN LEWISON v DORIAN DARCH FULL FIGHT VIDEO
Did anyone else notice that the ringside commentary kept going on about the two 8 counts taken by Darch when he only took one and that was in the 2nd round, he did not go down in the 1st and when the fight ended ref Bob Williams did not take up a count but instead waved the contest off so that Darch could get medical help. One of them also said it was a light/heavyweight contest.

I ve seen him fight live mate when he was an amateur , all I'm saying is I've followed boxing for years and had never heard or read he'd beat either, seen him win novices & get to aba final where he lost to David Dolan, he's an aggressive kid who used to overwhelm people with brute strength , remember reading an article as he came to prominence from nowhere.
For the record I already seen the Price fight price won , IMO lewison has regressed from his amateur form and wouldn't last long against price now.
Sure he was dropped a few times of a Latvian or something dolgovs.

So, your point is, boxing is only legitimate if it is the skillset of Pacquiao and Marquez every week?MacGuffin wrote:1. Yes it was, quite crass in fact (towards the children that is)billy bessey wrote: That was a bit of harsh of me to compare them to ugly ginger kids

I would rather watch 50/50 well matched mediocre boxers (most are if we are all being honest) than
some flashing superstar have another 60-54 shut out against some defensive genius of a journeyman.

:) But to be honest thats not fair.billy bessey wrote:Nice slugfest to watch but both are not going above area level imo. I do admire the way you back your fighters Steve but you sometimes remind me of my friend who always shows everyone pictures of his ugly ginger kid and says isn't she lovely
I never ever said that about Ali Adams, I was giving him a chance. Never ever did I say in MY OPINION he would beat Audley.
I did come out for Yassine El Maachi. He beat the European number 4 Colas then won Prizefighter and was ranked 20 in the world by two bodies (injury stopped him) so I was right there.
I do believe that Lewison with a stone off in weight could go to British title level minimum.
