L.A. Sports Arena Card 12/15 RBR.
Re: L.A. Sports Arena Card 12/15 RBR.
98-92 LSC.
Re: L.A. Sports Arena Card 12/15 RBR.
I thought Santa Cruz eked out the 10th round, but turning southpaw didn't seem to do him any favors. I recommend he sticks to what won him the 8th and 9th rounds to take the next two.

Santa Cruz has put his stamp on this thing now. No way Guevara wins the 12th the way he's been fighting. Santa Cruz is gonna pull it out in a tougher than expected title defense.
Re: L.A. Sports Arena Card 12/15 RBR.
118-110 LSC for me.

Very good final round, great fight for network tv with a blend of action and technique

115-113 Santa Cruz, fight reminded me a lot of Israel Vazquez vs Armando Guerrero where an unheralded challenger came in, gave a strong effort early and had a big lead only to fade in the 2nd half of the fight and lose the advantage to the Champion. Vazquez came on late and won that fight, Santa Cruz in my eyes has certainly done the same...just looking to hear it made official.

Damned fine boxing match. Santa Cruz needs a rest, imo. I would be surprised if his right hand was not injured during or before the fight.

116-112 was alright but the others were too wide.
Re: L.A. Sports Arena Card 12/15 RBR.
You have to respect this kid, as well as Guevara. This was huge for boxing on network.

Yup, even in a loss he looked good. Moreno-Guevara and Mares-Santa Cruz are good next fights for eachTanzio wrote:You have to respect this kid, as well as Guevara. This was huge for boxing on network.

My TV listing has Boxing going from 10:30 to 2am, that leads me to believe that several of the undercard fights will be on the main telecast. I'd guess it's closer to 5am your time than it is to three.

Porter/Diaz coming up.
