Does anybody know of any PC games that allows you to be the manager of a boxer/gym. I reckon it would be good to be able to train fighters, pick fights, negotiate purses, have fight strategies.
if football managment games are out why not boxing?
just a crazy thought.
Boxing manager games
Got my old Atari St out and have a game called World Championship Boxing Manager. It is absolute class, none of the fighters are real but you can manage up to 5 fighters and you renew contracts every year with them. You can also offer other fighters in the game contracts in the hope of nicking them off your rivals. The fights are good as you are in the corner, listening to the commentators and you have to decide your boxers tactics and treat his injuries at the end of each round. It is a quality game, although the graphics are not great, and one that you can play for months. Some one should do a remake of this game on PC.

Go here for a great boxing game: http://www.ootpdevelopments.com
The game is amazing, very very in depth and the fights are so realistic. The second version is released now or soon, and next year or the year after the company are doing a 'roleplay' type of boxing game that you speak of, where you can train fighters, book fights etc. But as I say check out the current game you won't be disappointed, although there is no 'career mode' unless you have a good imagination
