The boy did good! Infact that's selling Anderson short....I thought he was tremendous.

Nothing seems to faze Kevin, whatever crops up he doesn't panic he just finds a way to deal with it. This was a steep step up for Anderson and found everthing he did praiseworthy. What a chin too?!? It's not often you see the combination of banger with a solid chin.

I had Anderson edging it by two rounds in a very hard and close fight.

Commonwealth champion at 22 and in 15 fights against a real dangerman. That's an excellent achievement.

Also, noticed some of the previous posts and Anderson is clearly not running from anyone. Due respect would seem more fitting to me, rather than gatecrashing this excting talents moment.

Got to admit, i didn't think Anderson had a chance in this fight, must have read too much into Okine's victory over Barnes.

Oh well, nobodys perfect :)

I agree, Kevs got a hell of a chin on him, a couple of shots he took would have knocked out a lot of guys. Okine was far better against Anderson than he was against Barnes, which makes his win even better, well done wee man.

Yes agreed - and you'll often see a young unbeaten puncher, when faced with someone who stands up and fires back, lose heart and fold pretty quickly. It's the real mccoy who adjusts and comes onto win.

He looked a solid puncher to me, and the African obviously holds a shot pretty well. But I notice the last guy he went the distance with ( Ukranian? ) had been stopped a few times though...?

Still, looks like a great prospect has arrived.

come on John, I know that you care about the state of boxing in these isles mate and it was good exposure for a decent young prospect these are the next generation to uphold the tradition and be brit / euro level and who knows, in some cases world champs.

If you didnt care at all I doubt you would post on here bro!

We cant have cotto v torres every week mate.

Agreed. Well done Kevin, it was a memorable night for those who follow British boxing. An inspiring performance. :TU:

PS: was it Phil Edwards (of Simpson - Williams fame, and who I keep mixing up with Howard Foster for some reason) who scored against Anderson?

Yeah it was Phil Edwards, cant see how you get him mixed up with Howard Foster though.
