With that in mind what's the general consensus of sorting this issue out, in terms of stomach excercises?
I know sit ups and sit up machines, medicine balls, even kettle bells but what's the real deal in most peoples eyes?
Thanks in advance
Yeah I'm waiting on it going down, I'm only 11st 9 and 5ft 9 so 11st 6 and it's gone anyway.jonoevansla wrote:A good variety of ab work is essential. However you need to get your body fat % down if you want to see your abs. All the ab work in the world wont make them visible if they're covered with fat.
It gets harder with age mate, but with the right diet and program can be achieved.
Exercise-wise, training the area you want to lose fat from is completely irrelevant. You're best off doing big, multi-joint exercises with full ROM, and at the right intensity and (short) rest.Roars Like Me wrote:Ok I do the gym work, running etc and the only thing that gets on my nerves is the slight love handles I have found myself with. I know it's the advancing age and over indulgance so I will cut that out (well the eating anyway, will have to come back about the stalling of age)

But really body fat, especially in the midriff is in your case nearly 100% dependant on diet. Especially 'love handles' respond to sugar intake. Get rid off all simple sugars, if that doesn't help then high fructose fruits, then all fruits except post workout. If that doesn't bring results, remove all the starch as well. Having protein shakes outside post workout (ideally within 10 mins) may contribute to excess insulin and love handle fat as well. Oh, and booze needless to say.
Good luck.
Dont knock something until you try it. Yes, amazing results for me having used it so just giving my opinion. Am assuming you haven't used this so what's your excuse for your opinion?TempleSlave wrote:Sure this is the key to amazing results.
With all due respect, you have fallen for 'myths' regarding what your saying here.TempleSlave wrote:Exercise-wise, training the area you want to lose fat from is completely irrelevant. With all due respect sir, I happen to be an experienced health and fitness professional and, with the sole motivation of trying to be helpful towards a person I haven't even met (let alone charged a consult fee) sharing some knowledge I had to pay quite a bit of money for. Therefore, why don't you elaborate on why you're calling something a 'myth'. So far you sir you've just posted an ad for a device which I consider just one of many gimmicks that litter my industry every year, in heaps.BobbyG wrote:With all due respect, you have fallen for 'myths' regarding what your saying here.TempleSlave wrote:Exercise-wise, training the area you want to lose fat from is completely irrelevant.
