not impressed with kimbo being on the card and i don't see it creating much outside buzz. the guy has been exposed and he is not newsworthy anymore i don't believe.

thought they could have done far better with trying to raise awareness for the card.

I hear ya mate. My understanding is the promoters looked at some bigger names but unfortunately they priced themselves out of it. I think boxing purists (not for one minute saying you arent) will like the undercard. Seem to well matched bouts. Another major title on the card would have really capped it off though.

An interesting 8 rounder on the card between veteran super middleweights Jamie Pittman and Zac Awad.

That looks more promising than Pineapple Slice v Streets Gaytime or whoever they are.

if the uncard stays as it is i would be very happy.

Did pittman retire recently and now make a come back or did he just take time off. i think he will towel awad up big time

It id Pittman's first fight since a cut eye loss in August last year. I do not know if any retirement was announced. He and Awad seemed evenly matched.

You may be right Brute, but from what I have seen Pittman is streets ahead of Awad, although he is open for the knock out loss when in control of a fight

Jamie and Zac are both good boxers. It should be a good fight.

That's why kimbo is coming here because he has been exposed over there. Easy money and a free holiday.

i know that, but i cannot figure out how he would be benefitting the card being on it.

few people know about him here anyway. getting hoppa on the card at least would surely create more voyer interest than this dude yeah?

Reading through his "Wiki" entry shows that Kimbo is a great publicity hound and self promoter. Any involvement by this import on the night would cheapen and detract from the real reason the event is being held.

Kimbo is a walking advertisement that every circus must have it's clown!

He's full of shit. He probably has a Higher school Certificate but insists on carrying on with the ghetto spelling crap.

Putting that aside, however you spell "voyeur" it means a person who gets his/her jollies from watching other people having sex. Perhaps our friend thought it meant something else, but regarding John Hopoate it presents a gruesome picture.

How does "voyer" get to be pronounced "viewer"? Nothing obvious at all.

You have to be detective material to make the connection, Brute.

That's why, in your case, you could only think of Hoppa's arse going up and down.

mr. goose,

"in today's society the concept of voyeurism has evolved, especially in popular culture. Non-pornographic reality television programs such as Survivor and The Real World, are prime examples of voyeurism, where viewers (the voyeur) are granted an intimate interaction with a subject group or individual."

but u being an old bitter prick wouldn't be aware of this would u?

so in future maybe U should keep your gob shut if U don't know what u r talking about ok.

people will watch for curiosity, not to see hoppa's skills as a boxer.

I speak English. You speak something else.

What were you quoting anyway? Looks like something you made up.

With a quote you should reveal your source, e.g., "voyeur, n, someone who attains sexual gratification by looking at sexual objects or situations." (Macquarie Dictionary & Thesaurus, This edition published 2012).
