Unsurprisingly for someone who writes so poorly, you don't see to grasp the topic nor be in possession of the facts. When exactly did he sell out the MEN?

Where did they all go for Khan's subsequent fights?

Tarver vs Dawson 1 sold 500-600 tickets ? Bradley vs Alexander bombed too on account of it being held at the home of the Kronk, Detroit.

Interesting - and Dawson, Bradley, and Alexander are all boring people with no charisma and not particularly pleasing styles. It doesn't surprise me that no one wants to see them.

Tarver has a personality, of sorts, but it is an obnoxious one and his fights tend to be boring. I can see why none of these men sell.

Going by how race-obsessed some here are, I wonder if I'll get accused for making observations about these four boxers, none of whom are white.

I’m not sure if Amir is a big draw but he’s certainly high profile, he’s one of the faces of Burtons, is constantly on ringside, was the expert guest throughout the Olympics, appears as an expert guest at pro fights appears on sports game shows and he’s regularly on the front cover on all three major boxing magazines.

And though he can be an annoying prick (he never takes responsibility for his own actions & constantly refers to himself in the 3rd person) I for one wouldn’t want to miss his fight.

The referee wasn't cleared by a tribunal. That simply isn't true.
The IBF's tribunal was withdrawn when it was discovered that the referee was not even going to be called to give evidence.
Also, the referee, Joe Cooper, has not handled a single world title fight in the year since that fight. Indeed he has not been appointed to take charge of any fight longer than eight rounds. Hardly sounds like a ringing endorsement from the IBF or the boxing establishment as a whole, even the DC Commission.

I can't remember Khan ever selling out the MEN. The top tier was all empty and closed off during his world title fight against Kotelnik and the lower tier also had lots of empty seats.

Khan is a decent draw in the UK. He is not a huge ticket seller but neither is he a low ticket seller (in the UK). A decent show featuring Amir Khan as the main event could easily sell 10,000+ tickets in the UK (not in the USA).

This is how I see it. I really like Khan and whilst the way he boxes isn't the style that typically attracts me the most, there is something about his combative nature that is compelling. He's a real fighter and brave. That said, he's not charismatic, like Hatton or Naz were. It takes something a little extra to motivate twenty thousand people to pay to go and watch you box. Very few have that. I see Khan as a popular television fighter with enough global appeal to keep making big money.

I was at the McCloskey fight and there were plenty of empty seats in the top teir and that was with a few thousand McCloskey fans.

I mentioned these facts the other day. You just read the media nonsense, but I actually know what goes on. Here are the facts. Khan sold hardly anything for judah fight, the stadium was virtually empty fifteen minutes before his fihht started. So GBP decided to let punters in for free who were hanging around outside (almost dragged them in off the street job). This was done to make it look like this was a well attended event.
So for the next fight, GBP and HBO decided that khan had to go to a venue that would sell and use the oppositions hometown angle tyo get the opponent to sell some tickets. So they decided instead of fighting elsewhere to go to washington (none of this claptrap about khan being brave in oppnents backyard and all that hype)> So they had to go to washington so peterson could bring some home fans which he did.
For the garcia fight, I have the figures. just short of 7000 tickets issued, 3000 sold or given to media etc before the fight, 3700 remained unsold. I can back those figures up with actual gate release. So they knew he doesnt sell, hence why he went to molinas yard to fight rather than neutral location. But molina is not known in his own town.So he could not sell any either. So this week GBP realised that instead of leaving the hall empty or giving them for free at the last minute, they turned it into a charity thing on mnday, bring a toy for kids worth $20 and get two tickets, i.e $10 toy per ticket. What a joke. In this way, people willing to help charitable causes, they sold 5000 tickets for nil revenue this week, but got a few toys oin the process.
Khan has hopeless ppv numbers - henve why he was taken off ppv. He did well with the prime time v mclsokey, but that was mck fans - khan never sold in othe rfihts so sky took him off ppv and he ran to primetime and then came back when primetime told him they would struggle to sell him as ppv. His last ppv fight was mck. All since have been non ppv.
But the only reason gbp like khan is because the media hype him and tv netwroks across world pay to broadcast him - eg three channels in pakistan were showing this, and many other countires. But they will soon realise thier numbers are bad and quit as well. Khn is on last legs, He has no fan base apart from about 50 relatives/friends who are the same group he grew up with. He is hated by uk fans, henve why he gets boooed wherever he goes on stage in US. Look at when he attended the wiegh in a couple of years ago of the fs fight, he got booed by brit fans.

He alienated parts of the kashmiri/pakistani british community with the mixed signals he sends out.
He has alienated through in fairness no fault of his own certain sections of british fans who will never like him.

He had only reffed two world title fights in the seven or eight years prior to the Khan fight, so to say 'he hasn't refereed a single world title fight since' is misleading in the extreme. If anything that's entirely consistent with his career and locale.

Not really. Most refs on the Eastern Seaboard move up and down the coast through all the commissions. That was his big shot at becoming a mainstream ref and he blew it. It's not as is Washington DC is thousands of miles from New Jersey, Philly or New York. If he was considered a competent ref capable of handling a big fight he would have got other appointments. But you use your dislike of Khan to cloud the terrible job he did that night when, regardless of whether or not deducting two points for pushing was right or wrong, he clearly had no control of the action.

Let me tell you about it slowly.

The carjackers were people who bumped into Amir in a nightclub. They disliked him and the car jacking attempt was a result of some verbals between them rather than a load of carjackers randomly hitting on him.

Much of the British muslim community disliked Khans overt support of the Afghan war in his early career, and many others dislike what they see as his hypocritical lifestyle and bad role model status (doing pilgrimages to Mecca one minute being caught in a hot tub with two blonde slappers when he is engaged the next)

"On the whole". If you took a clipboard and stood in the middle of any high street in the country asking people if they a. liked, b. disliked, or c. were apathetic towards Amir Khan, a and c would be the answers that were most often given.

In the same way the comments section on YouTube videos manages to attract all the world's barm-pots, extremists and keyboard racists, Amir Khan topics on boxing forums does a similar thing.
