I think that nasty cut will have to be taken into account though when choosing his next opponent.

I think it will be someone like Allan Green or Cornelius White. The undercard will probably have Pail Smith v Kenny Anderson, Rocky Fielding, Calum Smith and Thomas Stalker pro debut

I think Cornelius White is not a bad shout. He's in the WBC top 10 and you'd think Bellew's next opponent will come from there given his last fight was for their Silver strap.

It will be interesting to see who his opponent will be. All the big boys are tied up apart from Shumenov but doubt he would risk his belt in the UK. White is a good shout. I wouldn't mind seeing Campillo either, he gives everyone a tough fight. The Pole, Fonfara holds the IBO belt but has never fought outside of Illinois.

Needs to be a good name otherwise it will mean his last 3 fights have been a waste.

Big call for gorgeous Eddie here IMO.

It's all well and good Tony slagging of Shaun Hawk but the argument lacks credence if we are served up another piss poor opponent like the last one.

And I'm a Bellew fan

Bolonti was a tomato can but I'm prepared to give Hearn the benefit of the doubt that it was part of a push towards a shot at Chad Dawson or Jean Pascal towards the end of next year.

Boxing is a business & promoters want there 3 points each time.
Losses don't count for much depending on the nature. But unfortunately the bodies recognise them & it is a huge set back & you become an honoury member of The who needs him club.

Bellews cut was severe & in need of a major lay off IMO

The last opponent was to get his ranking. Now Tony WBC no 3!

Ok then so if FW had served this up would the 'it was for a ranking' argument stack up??

Listen, Bellew needs a step up next fight and I'm sure he would agree

Am with Wrists
Danny Mac Cleverly dropped him numerous times so Bellew beating him not groundbreaking
Edison Miranda past his best and there for a pay check
Bolanti Padded record no ambition even tho Bellew had a horrific cut

It's put up or shut up for Eddie, Matchroom and Bellew another dud and all talk about Franks poor matchmaking is redundant, just for the record am a big Bellew fan

I really don't it'd be White, though it would certainly be a great fight if it were to come off. Maybe Uzelkov, Campillo or Sukhotsky?

Bellew is getting some unbelievable stick here by some clowns!!

Tell me who else boxes a world champion in 16 fights??

Bellew has beat...

Mcintosh former British king & European champion who two fights prior came off career best win.

Miranda multiple world title challenger & wrecking ball who took Andre ward the full 12.

Orvil mckenzie who smashed the country's best cruisers & in his prime & a lot better then his record suggests & extremely feared like a Peter oboh.

Bobby ajisafe who is now flourishing & a decent fighter.

Lost a close decision to Nathan cleverly & was ready to step in on 24 hrs notice!!!as an under seasoned pro.

& coach potatoe clueless fight fans don't appreciate that!!

If anything he's been fast tracked & could do with some learning fights before he gets in that frame

How about Kazuto Ioka, Beibut Shumenov and Guillermo Rigondeaux?...Who are all world champions with less than 16 fights

Miranda was shot when Bellew defeated him, and not close to being the 'wrecking ball' that he previously was.

You should try to be balanced with your assessments.

If Frank promoted Bellew the reaction on here would be there bringing over a shot fighter who's lost nearly every time he fought at the top level

You've picked one!! Miranda blows hot & cold & the last thing a fighter loses is his dig ;;-)

Your treating bellew as if he is a world champion the lad has thought who ever he has needed to in claiming his titles boxed the best in the land already & has shown he is prepared. Boxing is fickle & political & gets worse the higher you get. I don't want to tell you how to suck eggs squire
