Since BN introduced the ratings of headline bout and undercards out of 5 stars I've occasionally found myself as confused as I am by Ian John Lewis' scoring. This week Daniel Herbert has Groves v Johnson down as 4 stars??! That's the same as the weekend's excellent Rose-Webb (admittedly rated by a different writer, and these things are highly subjective).
I thought the Groves fight was a complete dog of a spectacle.....no offence to Groves but Johnson should have never come out of retirement. How Herbert managed to score 2 rounds to Johnson is beyond me too. Groves would have got about as much of a test standing in the ring thumping a tree trunk for 12 rounds. (Respect to Johnson for his career etc etc but when you're past it, you're past it).
