These start this week and will be very interesting with quite a few boxers changing weights including both their Olympic champions who are moving up a division.

And he will fight in bantam division - he won gold in flyweight in London and Panamerican games, but before he also fought in bantamweight class. It's interesting because Lazaro Alvarez also will appear in this weight so probably there will be a fight between two olympic medalists.

Gold medalist of last Youth World Champs - Kevin Brown - won his first fight.

Personally I would be surprised if Brown could win but the Cuban press believe he is really special.He is in the running for young Cuban athlete of the year which is for all sports not just boxing.When I watched the World Youths he did not stand out to me,there were others I preferred but you never know.

Just checked the cuban web-sites-Toledo Lopez defeated Brown 16-11(6-3,6-4,4-4) close enough to give Brown confidence for the future.Brown was named joint winner of Cuban Junior Athlete of the year alongside a world champion heptathlete.Alexei Guibert and Jose Luis Cordero were finallists.
