Paul Smith v Kenny Anderson not happening

Post by 15829 »

Well not yet anyway, Eddie put on Twitter that Smith turned it down, Paul said he turned it down because the money was shot and said the improved bid wasn't up to standard either, hopefully Eddie can offer a bit more so the fight can happen in Liverpool

Another reason Eddie needs the fight to happen is if Paul is on the show its almost guaranteed sell out, last Bellew fought at the Echo it was no where near capacity I no some of that was down to the fight getting rescheduled, but behind David Price Paul Smith is the top ticket seller from Liverpool

What he's worth, Smith ain't gonna turn it down if it was good money it's a British title fight in his hometown and Franks show in the past he's not against letting fighters fight on other shows

Am sure Paul realises that but we don't no what was offered so maybe it's not what he normally gets for a British title fight and thinks if it goes to purse bids Frank can get him more money

The only way it won't happen is if Frank wins and Eddie pulls Kenny out

I thought that Smith had realised post Groves that he was a middleweight in any case? Kenny would be a fair but bigger come fight night and it would be a good battle, I don't think Kenny hits like Groves but both would earn their money in that bout. (They ae both quite friendly aren't they?)

shame but onwards and upwards for Anderson

not a strong division domestically , but that isint exactly Kenny Andersons fault is it ? Think Rocky Fielding could be a good defence for both

Strange because Smith was nominated to fight for the vacant title and allowed Anderson v Reid to happen 1st as Anderson had been messed about by Groves on the understanding that Smith fight was next

Not sure Dodson ought to be in there really - it'd be a hard sell.

So you think Smith should take shit money with a option when he'd be the bigger draw on the show than Bellew, Anderson and the rest of the undercard or wait for it to go purse bids and make a lot more. People piss me off with there infatuation with Eddie its like you can't be objective when Frank offered Rees shit money with options he got slated rightly so but when Eddie does it ahh who cares

Aright fanboy if I no so little answer me these question

1, When Bellew fought Ovill the first time why were people leaving during the entrance
2, Why was there at most 3000 in The Echo when he fought Danny Mac

and for me saying Smith being the second biggest seller he consistently fills out the Echo (Quigley,Dodson&DeGale) whereas Bellew filled it in a world title but when it was for the British the same title Smith was filling the Echo out with he struggled hence why Eddie has had him on the road because if Bellew sold the Echo out all the time that's where nearly all his fights would take place, so maybe I don't no the ins and outs like you least I no the facts and can look at thing without my rose tinted glasses

I remember when Smith was looking to get matched with Robert Stieglitz for the WBO 2009/2010 era, now tickets would of been gold dust at the Echo had that of happened.

Smith would not of been offered this if he was not such a ticket seller.
Therefore he should get his fair share of the sales.

Did or would the krauts rely on us to sell out a venue, I think not!

Anderson v smith is a good fight & would love too see it.

What is left for smith?? Does he continue boxing washed up Paul Samuels of this world or get things on track & try to defeat anderson
