floyd mayweather v jeff fenech (at super featherweight)

Post by thunderfromdownunder »

who would win this clash of the titans?
PBF's hand speed is definetly better than jeffs, but jeff had awsome stamina & power and was good at cutting off the ring and wearing opponents down.
it would come down to weather or not jeff could cope with floyds skills
and if floyd could keep jeff off him for 12 rounds.

Fenech TKO 8
or PBF UD

Not a good wieght for Fenech to fight Mayweather. Mayweather would overwhelm him alot like Nelson did. Mayweather wins by late tko.

Not Fenech's "best" weight (perhaps) - But if it is a fully healthy (hands) Fenech he'd give Mayweather problems -

The pressure Fenech could bring (first Nelson fight for example) would definitely give Mayweather problems -

A "pick-em" in my mind (at JLW)....with perhaps Mayweahter being the slight favorite.

As for Mayweahter being able to overwhelm Fenech (like Nelson did) - Two big points here - 1. Mayweahter was no Nelson at 130lbs by a long shot 2. Fenech beat Nelson in their first match clearly...and Nelson did a great job in the rematch (but Fenech was lacking the fire in that fight from the beginning...hand problems and weight problems going into the fight....nevertheless the fight was actually close at the time Nelson stopped him).

If a healthy Fenech showed up....he'd give Mayweahter hell even at 130 - As I said Mayweahter might be the slight favorite....but my hard earned money would have been laid down on Fenech by DEC -

It would have been a very interesting match-up -

I thought this over, I think Mayweather would have been a little too much for Fenech. I'd say Mayweather wins this by TKO. Let's not forget, Mayweather was very strong at Super Featherweight as well as fast.
