Boxrec shows his place of birth as Knoxville, Tennessee. This is not correct. He was born in Cartersville, GA. Attached are three sources of proof. One is an Emergency passport application he filled out in 1914, the second is a ships manifest when he returned from England after touring there, the last is his death certificate. All show his place of birth as Cartersville, GA.
