Check out this brief clip of Joe Louis in the ring doing a light(and probably slightly rehearsed)
exhibition in the 1943 movie THIS IS THE ARMY(in technicolor).

This motion picture was filmed in the Spring of 1943,so Jouis Louis would have been
29 and about to turn 30 years old about 2 months later.
Most of the movie was filmed at the Warner Bros. studios in Burbank California, but
my guess as to were the exhibition sequence may have been filmed possibly at
Camp Young,Desert Command at Indigo California sometime in March or April 1943
in front of 1500 men. where he was reported in the newspapers at the time as giving an exhibition at.
(or more likely it could have just been filmed on one of the big outdoor sets of the Warner Bros. studios
in Burbank California I dunno,by the way check out the background of the ring, what does that remind you of?)
Is this the only known colour footage of Joe Louis boxing?
