Chris (night nurse) you seem a bit bitter and twisted, I got offered a chance to fight for the belt and took it, what should I have done say no dale miles deserves a crack before me? Get real, and I find it quite funny you having a pop at my record, I'd have a look closer at home first, tyrone is a good boxer but hadn't boxed anybody with a pulse before prizefighter and was about 20-0 still fighting on dinner shows for peanuts because you wanted to build a sexy looking record, maybe if you did a better job as his manager you would of done what dave did and ring the board up and try and secure your son a shot at the vacant english title, you didn't so that's your problem not mine, ill be concentrating on my fight in feb I suggest you concentrate in getting your own house in order

get real woodhouse...we offered your team this fight ...if you had a pulse your team may of taken it...miles sparked u and ryan would have beat u without the knockdown...tyrone 23 today wud have beat u when he was 12 ....two donkeys makes a derby...your team know your level and thats why you patchy record against moderate opposition speaks for itself....if teams like yours would accept fights we wouldnt have to keep bringing people in from abroad killing time....saw u were looking for some sparring ....give u £100 to come do a 12 rounder nxt week or week after or week after....cant have it all sorted yet surely....

Classy stuff from you here Chris.
Ok, so if you're going to talk stuff let's tell the story as it was.

I contacted Chris to offer Liam Patrick Walsh the fight with Curtis for his first defence if i could get it approved.
He asked what the money was and then said he'd get back to me in 24hrs. Also offered another match for one of his kids in a four rounder.
He asked about Tyrone if Walsh wasn't about.
I said not for this fight as i have something big lined up for Curtis next up and after two really hard fights on the trot i don't want a titanic struggle for this one so soon after Christmas.
(Many will know i told Curtis to have a complete break from boxing as he broke his cheekbone in the miles fight and then had a tough fight last time)
Tyrone IS a tough fight, stylistically he's going to be very hard for Curtis. I don't want someone who's going to run all night sharp shooting from his six foot frame for this fight.
This is a voluntary defence and Curtis is entitled to a fight that may be a little easier than the last couple he's had.

Now here's the funny bit.
After i was honest enough to tell Chris this reason, i DID OFFER for Tyrone to fight David Barnes on March 8th to which Chris TURNED IT DOWN. The reason was that "Barnes doesn't turn up".

I explained that Barnes pulled out of one fight since signing with me, the Heffron fight, due to being in a serious car accident where he went through the windscreen.

But Chris doesn't want to take the fight in case Barnes doesn't fight.
So it's ok for Chris to turn down fights for Tyrone.

As a man that had built up Tyrone to a record of about 20-0 against journeymen, i'm sure you can understand why i may not want the toughest fight out there for this one for Curtis? Or is it ok for you but not me?

Adil Anwar is for me the man to beat in this division, but he's next mandatory to fight for the British.

You moan about Curtis getting a shot? The title was vacant. I went out and made the title fight for Curtis. Who stopped you from going out and making a vacant title fight for your son before i did?

By the way, calling fighters who give it their all donkeys is very classy.

Not gonna get into it any on here, these are just facts.
If anyone wants to have a pop at me not wanting the hardest fight out there for Curtis then fair enough, i accept that.

Barnes would have too much for Nurse, even now, David's class when his mind's on it but he does seem to be a bit of a problem child, and always has been.

Dave, have you sorted the app out? It was decent while it worked last time and priced just right but I missed the last few rounds of the main event, as did a lot of others.

The app should be fine. Was an issue with 15% of viewers.
The next two shows will be free as a way to compensate for the problems last time.

Really? I think whoever gave you that stat is flat out bullshitting you, but that's just my opinion. Everybody who was posting on the round by round topic had issues. Any way, like I wrote back then, I like the idea and want it to work for you, teething problems are to be expected. I'll buy again.

You DID say he wouldn't turn up, u did say that when I offered u the fight!
I DID say I'd keep u on the bill if u sold the tickets.
You THEN text saying Tyrone had a job.

Which I'm told me you had agreed to a while before OUR conversation and you offering to fight Curtis!

Sorry if u don't believe what I say mate.
But those are the analytical review info that we have.
We had great figures, and yes people had problems.
But the total that lost the main event from iPhone, android and website was 15%.

That's the number that lost it totally,we don't have numbers regarding problems but still viewed it.

That last sentence clears it up for me. Honestly, every single person who was posting on the round by round thread had problems, especially towards the very end. Nobody could say how the fight had finished for sure. That's why I doubted the 15% number because 100% of those posting on the Boxrec round by round topic had problems but most did have intermittent images, so hadn't lost it totally. I'm not trying to be a knob, like I said earlier, I genuinely want the application to work, I wouldn't have bought it otherwise. It's just constructive criticism that you can feedback to ROK so they don't let you down again next time.

@Paullow, yes, you can buy the fight and watch it on the website. You don't need smart phones or tablets or gizmos.

I feel sorry for Ty in all this.
He seems to be me to be an all round decent kid but quite frankly he's being made to look like a nob.
All the worse when the creator of the problem is from your own family and stable.

Great thread.

Unfortunately the most deserving don't always reap the rewards. You do have to be of a certain ability to warrant title shots but the honest truth is that your face has to fit and there is a huge ammount of politics involved. Can't fault Curtis or Dave though. If every promoter was as proactive as Dave it would level the playing field too. Too many folk expect title opportunities just to fall in their lap. I'm sure Anwar and Nurse will get their just deserts soon.

Don't know how good Singleton is, not seen him, but I know he has not fought anybody really good yet, you do have to start with the journeymen first, before you step up, so I will give him the benefit of the doubt, I do know however that Anwar and Nurse are very good as is Dale Miles, fair play Curtis for fighting anyone so far in your career, but don't go through the same process as some other fighters who win the English title and avoid the better fighters to try and get a British title shot as English champion, I think giving a shot at your title to Dale Miles would be a step in the right direction, all the best.

With all respect Naji, Miles was beaten quite easily by Anwar since his fight with Curtis so don't know why he keeps getting mentioned, its back to building confidence for him for couple fights then maybe there rematch can happen, talking of confidence, Nurse will carry on fighting journeymen until his team finally let him of the leash which they should do has he's a talented kid, And Anwar is chasing the British title so who else really is there for him to fight better than a unbeaten prospect ? cant understand why your having a bit of a dig at him for that, after all has we know its not the fighters who match the fights mate :TU: and I don't find Curtis to be the kind of lad to take the easy option and believe he will fight who ever his team put in front of him has he's already shown.
I feel like this thread as took over my life lol.

Anwar vs Miles scoring was well out IMO. I was at the echo arena and i thought anwar won first five rounds but after that miles was coming out on top. Dont get me wrong am not saying miles won but alot of ppl at the arena and on allegedly thought it could of been a drew with maybe anwar winning by 1 rnd. But i got to say i was in the same hotel as dale and is face was a mess. Also IMO its been over looked as one of the fights of the year.
