It's pretty funny seeing all the "fans" online freaking out over the "robbery" thanks to Teddy leading them down that path.

At least there's not much of that here, though 8-4 was still too wide.Diamond WEAPON wrote:It's pretty funny seeing all the "fans" online freaking out over the "robbery" thanks to Teddy leading them down that path.

I just saw it now, I had it 115-113 Barthelemy.
Jesus, Atlas needs to stfu sometimes. He's making it seem like everything is corrupt and it's the frigging rapture, when it was a competitive fight. He's spending 3/4 of the fight talking about Usmanee in the third goddamn round, when he's not interviewing Desmond Howard or working on his analogies.
It was a close fight. I don't even like Barthelemy(though I did pick him in PTBF.) I went with him strictly because I thought he would we win. I don't like his backwards bicycling act, or showboating after landing one punch, or his seeming incomprehension of his own strengths and weaknesses. But that fight was close. I had Rances landing a lot cleaner and Usmanee hitting a lot of gloves. He did made a tough stand, and he came to do his best, but I had Barthelemy just winning it on the first few, a couple during the middle/ later rounds, and the 11th.
Atlas and Tessitore could have approached the whole thing in a bit more mature manner. Atlas doesn't even seem to watch the fvcking fights anymore, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised. It was close fight, and they reacted like war had just been declared or something. They used to get outraged when things were outrageous. Now it seems like it's any time things are the leaast bit competitive, or especially if they are challenged in their view. I get the impression they(and especially Atlas) really think they are the show now.

Re: 1/4 ESPN II FNF RBR.
I just got done watching on Tivo since I was working last night. Glad I am not the only one that thinks Teddy and Joe (and the obviously Teddy-sensitive fan vote) were way off. I think they were in love with Usmanee's story and the way he came back in the fight after he looked like he was going to get blown out. Not only do I think it was a close fight, I honestly don't really see any way Usmanee could have won it. The 9th round was the only one that I thought was really a toss-up, and I had it 115-113 Barthelemy. The only other score I could really see would be 114-114. I definitely think the two judges that had it 116-112 were doing the home-cooking thing for sure. I mean my reasonable range is 115-113 RB to 114-114, but if you told me I had to name two more swing rounds (I had them close but clear), I'd say you could give 4 or 5 to Usmanee if you were really wanting to stretch. I don't think there were any more rounds beyond 115-113 that Barthelemy could have remotely hoped to have won. I think Teddy owes an apology to the one judge that had it right. Maybe to the other two, as well, since as bad as their cards were, his was worse.
Here's my round-by-round:
1: Barthelemy, clear
2: Barthelemy, clear
3. Usmanee, clear
4. Barthelemy, close but clear
5. Barthelemy, close but clear
6. Usmanee, clear
7. Usmanee, clear
8. Usmanee, clear
9. Barthelemy, toss-up
10. Barthelemy, clear
11. Barthelemy, clear
12. Usmanee, clear
Here's my round-by-round:
1: Barthelemy, clear
2: Barthelemy, clear
3. Usmanee, clear
4. Barthelemy, close but clear
5. Barthelemy, close but clear
6. Usmanee, clear
7. Usmanee, clear
8. Usmanee, clear
9. Barthelemy, toss-up
10. Barthelemy, clear
11. Barthelemy, clear
12. Usmanee, clear
