Both were great fighters but I actually think that Olivares was the better boxer, he had very underrated boxing skills while Zarate was a bit robotic in style. I see this as a real thriller, I think Ruben would beat Zarate in a simular way to how Wilfredo Gomez beat him... Ruben would be just a bit too fast and slick for Carlos and his bombs which he threw in blazing combinations in his prime would take Zarate out in about 5 or 6 rounds... but probably after Ruben had been down once or twice himself.
Pretty much how I see it also. Ruben must have been a big bantam considering he fought at feather and Zarate seemed to get shoved around easily by Gomez, so could see Olivares doing the same thing, before KOing himsilkov wrote:Both were great fighters but I actually think that Olivares was the better boxer, he had very underrated boxing skills while Zarate was a bit robotic in style.
