ANYONE IN SCOTLAND @ 9st 4?!?!?!
Re: Ronnie "The Shark" Clark
Mitch Prince's style is great to watch never take a step back. Think he would need to cut his leg of to make 9'4. Would be a great fight if it could be made but Mitch won't see that weight again.jake the snake wrote:Not many opponents to choose from really , Mitch prince , Jason hastie ? Or a couple of prospects down at super feather who probably wouldn't fancy it .
There's Darren Traynor who again is a Gilmour boy so he won't be risking his unbeaten guy this early in his career.
Michael Stupart is another option, ok he's not the best but he's game and I think he would take a title fight
Paul Mcelhinny would also be another name to think about.
Whatever happened to the Richard Barcley? david Cowan? John Downie?

Stupart is the only fighter I believe would take the fight :s I beat him in the amateurs twice so he will want revenge ;) Paul Mcilhinney was a great fighter but I believe he is in oz now... Richard Barclay would be a good fight he is a good southpaw... I wonder who it's gonna be... Now I see how the talk was about Scottish boxing... Fair play to Kris Hughes taken good fights but why not fight me :s
Boxing = One big JOKE!!!!! ;)

Re: Ronnie "The Shark" Clark
Ronnie actually fought Michael Stupart a couple of times in the amateurs.. Stopped him on one of the occasions... I only seen one of the fights and was quite brutal so couldn't imagine Stupart being too keen but agree Stupart never in a boring fight.. It a struggle to see anyone at this weight in Scotland stepping up to the mark.. I hope I get proven wrong but in the last few fights Ronnie has moved up a couple of levels.. The two fighters that should step up are Michael Roberts or Kris Hughes..
A Scottish title fight should be competitive and these guys should want to challenge themselves against Ronnie... A loss won't hurt anyone's career if anything a fight like this moves the guys forward.. Lets hope someone steps up and takes the opportunity..

What about the Latvian boy Podusovs has he got a scottish passport? He's a tough hombre despite his average record.
Re: Ronnie "The Shark" Clark
Isn't David Savage still the Scottish super-feather champ ?

Pudusovs I would fight no problem... Sure he holds the British Masters & Super Featherweight... Davey Savage does hold the Scottish but we ain't fighting as he is now @ featherweight so he has vacated the title :( I don't understand why people don't fight win lose or draw?!? Boxing is about fighting and to me it seems a little more like bullying :(

No chance of a rematch with Walsh then?

Wishful thinking :(
Re: Ronnie "The Shark" Clark
Ask your manager/promoter to make him a better money offer than they gave you maybe then one of the Walsh Brothers will have it as they don't seem to get much workRonnieTheSharkClark wrote:Wishful thinking :(
Re: Ronnie "The Shark" Clark
It was rejected before the talk of money.. Don't believe these boys are in it for the money to be honest... Why would any of them take the fight when the can keep winning against easier opponents.. Out of the 3 anyway A rematch with Ryan would end in a stoppage.. Michael is in my opinion the worse of 3 and wouldn't last very long.. So would only leave Liam.. Judging by the Appleby fight I believe Ronnie would stop him.. Would Liam go back down to Superfeather I doubt it.. That one would make a very very good fight but unfortunately I can't see any of these fights happening.. There is 4 or 5 Superfeather weight fighters in Scotland surely one of them will want a shot at the Scottish titleSMASHING wrote:Ask your manager/promoter to make him a better money offer than they gave you maybe then one of the Walsh Brothers will have it as they don't seem to get much workRonnieTheSharkClark wrote:Wishful thinking :(

Michael Walsh has 9 fights 9 stoppages that must be the best prospect record in Britain ![[icon_notworthy.gif]](./images/smilies/icon_notworthy.gif)
Re: Ronnie "The Shark" Clark
Go look at who he has fought.. He's not a prospect not had one fight that would be competitive was put down in his last fight. Have a look at his opponents record.. Have you watched them box?SMASHING wrote:Michael Walsh has 9 fights 9 stoppages that must be the best prospect record in Britain

I never said he wasn't a good fighter.. The fact his last fight was at lightweight and the fact he was meant to be fighting Ricky at lightweight makes me think that's where he will fight... I know you may have to talk him up because he was put into a World title fight but in honesty he shouldn't have been up there.. I can't see him fighting at Superfeather but IMO John Simpson, Gary Buckland and Paul Truscott are the 3 best Superfeather weight fighters in the Uk.. Who do you think Ronnie should fight next?

Re: Ronnie "The Shark" Clark
If he's a super feather weight why the hell is he fighting Ricky burns for a lightweight world title? Sounds credible :)
Re: Ronnie "The Shark" Clark
it must have been a easy fight to make same promoter and Walsh would have been offered great wages to take itJamieM wrote:If he's a super feather weight why the hell is he fighting Ricky burns for a lightweight world title? Sounds credible :)
