Greg Page was very inconsistant. If anyone ever considered him the number 1 contender I can guarantee it didn't last long.

Believe me, it didn't.After losing to Witherspoon, the end was right around the corner( for various reasons ).

I encourage anyone who has forgotten what Larry accomplished to go back right now and look at his record. He just about won the WBC belt in 1995 from a guy who had beaten Lennox Lewis. For those of you who place him in the top three I can not argue though I do not rate him that high myself.

But the more you really study this guys record the better he looks. As time goes by my guess is he will only gain in prestige. He held on to his abilities like no one else it my estimation.

Holmes was one of the cleverest champions... when he came back in the 90s he adjusted his style and was still able to give the top men lots of trouble... he came very close to beating Holifield and Mccall and showed in those fights that he would have had little trouble with either of them in his prime.
