Strange that two shows were held on the same day in Mile End - a 17-contest show at Wonderland as in another thread, but Boxing News 18th September 1909, also reported on one at the Foresters' Music Hall, Cambridge Road, Mile End. The Wonderland show was in the evening, maybe this one was in the afternoon. Results as reported:
Joe Shear (Aldgate) w pts 10 Kid Logan (USA) - Logan down in the 9th
Shear was described as 'although boyish-looking and diminutive, is on the wrong side of the teens'.
Alf Paine (Mile End) - boxrec has a record for him as Payne - drew 6 Kid Lightning (St George's) - referee Lew Lake
Plus a 7st 9lbs (107) competition, just the winners recorded:
Lew Harris (Aldgate) Denny Roderick (Wapping) Young Abrahams (Hackney) Curley Walker (Bermondsey) Young Major (Old Ford)
And winners of an 8st 4lbs (116) competition
Jack Hale, Tom O'Connor, Kid Smith, Lew Griffiths, Young Brooks, Curley Hines, Sam Paul (who received a bye).
