Burns Vs Vasquez ?

Last time Burns "Ducked" Broner he pulled off a win vs Katsidis whilst many thought he would be outclassed. After that performance Katsidis was apparently a shot fighter and Burns should have beaten him anyway.

Now after "Ducking" Broner again his team pull out Vasquez, already people believe he is in too deep again, what will we be reading if Burns wins again?

Also, previously he was gonna be knocked out by Martinez who then became one dimensional after Burns beat him.

Im looking forward to it, if Burns becomes a unified champion then surely he can negotiate a bigger payday for facing Broner and that fight will finally happen.

I can't speak for anybody else but if Burns beats Vasquez I will be convinced he's the second best boxer in the division. Vasquez is a lot better than the Katsidis ever was.

Who would be no 1 in front of him if he beats Vasquez?

Think burns will ud him. Always thought burns was the number 2 in the division. However imo there is a huge gap between no 1 and no 2 although I have my doubts that we are ever going to find out. Anyone think if burns wins warren and his team are going to be calling themselves no 1 in the division (above broner and they don't need to fight him) and brithish pound for pound no1?

(Although Im of the same general opinion that Broner rightfully deserves to be number 1)

Vazquez is more proven and is a better fighter, why does Broner deserve to be number one? because he beat the number 3 in Demarco? Demarco was the weakest belt holder of the 3

Just based on my own opinion. I still think Broner has areas to work on but I think he's decent. British fighters usually fail to cut the mustard at the very highest level, even when they're touted as "world champions". Whilst I do like Burns as a fighter and for the way he carries himself, I don't see enough in him to think he'll ever be the best fighter in a division. I genuinely hope I'm proven wrong.

So it looks like a tough fight for Burns if it comes off. This is what we want.

I agree with you on this one. At lightweight, Broner's ledger is still a bit thin and a win over Rees wouldn't be enough to keep him ahead of the winner of Burns - Vazquez (in my opinion); both who have decent resumés at 135 to date. Obviously the governing bodies and Boxrec will probably say different but I tend not to pay much attention to them.

Based on facts and results I think Vasquez is a tougher opponent than Broner which is why i said on paper he is more proven.

Based on opinion, i still regard Broner as having more ability. Time will tell.

Burns' team have taken a very smart route in my opinion, another world title holder so no-one can question his opponent and also better bargaining rights for a scrap with Broner if everything goes to plan.

rankings should be based on achievements not "well I think Broner might have more ability so he's number one"

i havent saw vasquez fight much i dont think but by sounds off it this is not a formallity and 50/50 fight if anything.
