Who is the cooler of the two promoters?

There's only one way to find out...

Seriously, REALLY looking forward to this one. What a scrap in prospect.

Is any further detail actually given can't watch the video as at work?

Any confirmation of date/venue, obviously I've heard the likely answer but wouldn't mind having it actually confirmed.

I agree with The Dark Destroyer on this one. Sauerland is cooler. Hearn lost any coolness he may have had the moment he ran into the ring as the Bute fight approached its conclusion. He looked like a right plank on his way in, when he realised what he was doing, on his way out, and when he came back in again when the fight was waved off.

This. His face when he realised the ref has started a count was priceless. I thought he was going to drop and roll out the ring WWE style at that point.

Why does Kalle have such an unusual accent? You'd almost be fooled into thinking he was English listening to that interview.

I think he went to school and spent a significant portion of his childhood here.

aye, he sends his kids to be educated here, too. I taught one of them at Uni

I think he meant, between the two of them, they've won 8 world titles:

Kessler won the wba regular from sica (1), then beat beyer for the wbc (2), lost to calzaghe then picked up the vacant wba title (3) then lost to ward, then beat Froch for his wbc title (4), then picked up the wba title from magee (5)

Froch beat Pascal for the vacant wbc (1), lost to Kessler, won the vacant WBC against Abraham (2) lost to Ward then beat Bute (3)

According to the IBF the fight will be on april 27th.

And it is not Kalle that is Kesslers promotor, it is Nisse Sauerland that hold te license.

Who said he was Kessler's promoter? It was simply stated that he was a promoter. If you're going to try and be a pedant, get it right

When has he ever been a boxing promotor? Danish media also call him Kesslers promotor, but afaik he has never promoted a card. Its Chris Meyer that holds the licens for Sauerland event and Nisse Saierland for Sauerland Promotion.

Oh right, that is important, Soren. Apologies, my friend. I just thought you meant on this occasion.

Any ideas why they have Sauerland Event AND Sauerland Promotion? Why not just one?

That would actually be a very convenient date seeing as Forest are playing in London...

Sauerlland was born in S.Africa and schooled in London.

The family made their money from a bottle factory in Africa. They had to bend over a lot for local authorities to ensure their business wasn't simply taken off them.

One day, some big African official told Sauerland snr that it would be "in his best interests" if he helped a young African boxer start a career in Europe.

That fighter was John Mugabi.

Despite knowing eff all about boxing or promoting they started putting shows on and getting him fights, but as he never had any local fans they bolstered the card with local ticket sellers.

And here they are.

That's really interesting. A bright family, it seems to me. Does Froch get on better with the Sauerland's now. I know they wound eachother up during the Super Six?

Looking forward to the Froch- Kessler rematch.

I too was totally thrown by his accent. Never heard him talk before. He has a proper Cockney/Southern English accent. Most of the time. It was only the odd thing he said that told me he wasn't English. Really weird.
