Glenn Foot deserves a lot of credit
Good stylist... Not unbeatable but an absolute joy to watch and times his right hand lovely.
Now sits at 10-0 with 6 of his wins against unbeaten boxers and all but two being over guys with winning records one of them being dee Mitchell whose always dangerous.
So many boxers get an easy run at the beginning he's taken tough fights and barely lost a round. Really impressive.

Good shout Jeff, remember him,his brother and Warren Baister all boxing for Marley Potts abc b4 Sunderland. He's capable of British an European honours if he carries on improving, think he took Evans by suprise by boxing on the move and it took Dale two rounds to adjust by which time the fight was won for Glenn. Didn't know Dave Binns trained him tho?
Re: Glenn Foot deserves a lot of credit
spot on jeff
you can tell if you have seen glenn fight a few times he has a good jab very good right hand and slips shots very well. He isnt just a threshing machine who throws loads of shots and is aggressive, he can adapt to an opponent and format as he has shown.
he is the type of fighter who will fight anyone anywhere and will be very interesting to see who he fights next.
they has been talk he may be on the february 15th bill the jaffa has put together

He recovered well from that body shot, a testament to his fitness.

would like to see him and chad gaynor again somewhere down the line, over a longer distance i think that could be a belter
Re: Glenn Foot deserves a lot of credit
But his reaction to that shot showed he has a weakness in that area, I expect it to be exploited more as he steps up in class.G0mez wrote:He recovered well from that body shot, a testament to his fitness.

I think Chad Gaynor, Dale Evans and Glenn Foot all deserve credit, i was impressed with all of them. It will be interesting to see how far each of them get in the pro game.

I think majority of fighters show class along with Egginton dont well also. I think this was the best prizefighter and bringing these young prospects in is a fantastic idea as the hunger is shown tremendously. I think we have seen that all the boxers in the prizefighter have a future in the game as some are still young.

add Eggington to the list aswell, he showed guts and fought back bravely.Old bones Ian wrote:I think Chad Gaynor, Dale Evans and Glenn Foot all deserve credit, i was impressed with all of them. It will be interesting to see how far each of them get in the pro game.

yeah Eggington did well to comeback from that shaky 1st round, i would get him working on his defense now though, he was open to that counter left hook all fight, needs to know when to cover up and when to drop his hands.rhino222 wrote:add Eggington to the list aswell, he showed guts and fought back bravely.Old bones Ian wrote:I think Chad Gaynor, Dale Evans and Glenn Foot all deserve credit, i was impressed with all of them. But lots of heart and not short on talent either.
Re: Glenn Foot deserves a lot of credit
I would like to see foot fight Larry the previous light Mid winner. Larry is a Welterweight who moved up just for PF.

pleased Foot won, and hopefully he goes on and does well in his career. good seeing more north east boxers coming through - there hasn't been many over the last 10 years or so. where would people place him within the tyne and wear rankings (if there was such a thing)? just after JLD and ward?
Re: Glenn Foot deserves a lot of credit
Is Foot with a promotor?

Re: Glenn Foot deserves a lot of credit
Think Foot might look at a move down to Light-welter as well, there's options for him at that weight as well
Re: Glenn Foot deserves a lot of credit
If foot could make light welter he would be a beast. Jaffas dad mentioned him fighting at rainton meadows on feb 15th be interesting to see what weight he is and what direction they look to go in as a title of some description must be closeOld bones Ian wrote:Think Foot might look at a move down to Light-welter as well, there's options for him at that weight as well

I've never seen someone start their career with that kind of quality wins- domestically at least
Re: Glenn Foot deserves a lot of credit
he'll want no piece of woodhouse anytime soon, that's for sure!Old bones Ian wrote:Think Foot might look at a move down to Light-welter as well, there's options for him at that weight as well

That would be a good fight for the English Championship if Woodhouse can beat Singleton defiantly. Would be a nice step in the right direction for both fighters.
