I forget the commentaor but there's one British commentator who always says 'right hand there by xxxx not too far away.'

Fighters referring to themself in the third person is obviously cliched by now.

A fighter losing for the first time 'all fighters lose at some point.'

The third person thing is quite funny especially when the interviewers fall into it, for example instead of: to Ricky Hatton "So what is next for you?" it's "so what is next for Ricky Hatton?" as if they're talking about some character.

"This is the toughest sport in the world" they'd be surprised actually at how tough some other sports are and there's certainly more dangerous sports.

"I'm the first in the gym and the last one to leave the gym"

Slightly off topic and maybe even worth a different thread, what about some of the shouts you hear from the crowd on fight nights.

The girls shouting "Punch him on the face" always make me laugh but the best one i heard was maybe a year ago. I was at a small hall card for Eddie Doyle vs Gary McArthur and a guy in the row infront of me was shouting instructions. To his defence he was steaming drunk but shouted "Hit him with your left Eddie, thats it your left.....Now hit him with your other left" lol. To make it even better, Eddie Doyle wasnt out until the next fight. Haha. Class.

Reminds me when I saw Blackpool v West Ham, one random guy just yelled out "At least we don't fornicate donkey's" a bit extreme but hilarious at the same time

I remember at a cold, midweek Boro game at home to Grimsby, in the days of standing in the Holgate End, some mortally drunk individual sang as loudly as he could 'You're just a town full of kippers!' to everyone's amusement. Then punctuated at five or ten minute intervals, "You're just a town full of mackerel/haddock/etc."

By his third or fourth go, we all joined in to give him a hand
