Great small hall show anyone around the Bowlers area should definitely look to go. I'd expect Watson and Burton to win but they'll be exciting fights and the main 2 fights are 50/50 fights. When you consider he hasn't got a T.V deal he consistently puts on action packed shows

Great show from David and good luck to him. He is building a nice little roster of fighters and I'm sure he will be successful in the long run and he is not afraid to put fighters in tough fights.

Have to agree. Been to all Daves shows at Bowlers & they have had some even & competitive fights on. I have my tickets & am really looking forward to this one.

Really looking forward to Burton v Dilks also, should tell us how the young prospect is progressing!

Feb 22nd we have Nav Mansouri v Max Maxwell, was originally the Carruthers rematch but he pulled out.
Think Max is the harder fight really.
Also on the show is Chad Gaynor who many of you were impressed with last weekend.
Lovely kid, he's been blown away by everyone's comments.

Please could you consider putting on a show in Nottingham , we are crying out for regular non Froch shows here and theres plenty of lads to put on it and wouldnt have any need to worry about tickets , Leigh Wood , Adnan Amar,Shane Mcphilbin, Curtis Valentine , Terry Maughan , Nathan McIntosh etc etc etc and a few lads who want to turn pro but end up having to box unlicensed as theres no shows here for them to box on .

To be honest mate, on speaking to managers down there although there are plenty of boxers, theres not many that actually sell decent tickets.
Which is why the shows have probably dried up in the area.
Believe me, if they did sell, i'm sure Carl Greaves would have run there himself as he's only up the road at Newark.

While im not going to disagree with you as your the guy in the know on this , its always going to be difficult to know how the tickets would do if theres no shows to box on , i suppose it represents a little bit of a risk to whoever does put one on , i just cant see any way for that to change without someone doing it , seems like Leigh Wood is the only guy from Nottingham who gets a descent chance on Froch bills , Hes twice shifted over 200 tickets and even then he was removed from one of the shows last minute .

out of interest what exactly is considered a descent amount of tickets ? , i was of the thought that as long as they can do 60 then it should be ok and that those doing over 100 (like Leigh Wood) shouldnt have any trouble getting fights at all , when they keep having to box outside of the city there fan base is not getting to grow etc as lets face it tv isnt exactly easy to come by now and they obviously wont sell as many in other places as the do in Nottingham , the lads on unlicensed shows are selling really well so in my view it isnt that theres a lack of interest locally or anything like that , just seems to be stuck in a bit of a catch 22 .

Derby Velodrome will be built by 2014.

That's going to be a top venue in the very near future. I've seen the plans for it and its a nice stadium for concerts, events etc. Perhaps too big for small halls etc, but could be a good addition to the midlands.

The only venues which are suitable are Clifton L/C and Victoria L/C (if its still open) but to make it viable on say a 5 fight show all home boxers need to sell at least 100 tickets at £30 each to put the promotor in profit thats why most promotors do ticket deal contracts which equates to £3000 a fight ----£1000 each fighter and £1000 for the promotor obviously the promotor has to pay for the venue security ring hire MC Referees Timekeeper etc plus Board tax it doesnt come cheap so if boxers dont meet their targets the promotor will either pull the show or lose money
