Eddie keeps promoting how tough things are. Most successful bosses use the same ploy
Eddie has gone on record saying the boxing doesn't have to be profitable as the rest of the business is.

Depends on how much money we are talking about - Kell is not a "name" boxer in the UK (to the general public outside Sheffield), never mind in the US.

In reality, he will possibly be be lucky to get a purse of 3 figures (and that is in USD).
In reality he's very, very lucky then!

You think he'll be lucky to get more than $99? Are you sure you don't mean six figures?

Im a Burns fan and admire the work you've obviously done but are you not being a bit of a silly Billy saying things like that.
Ricky would struggle to take vast numbers anywhere outside the UK . Burns is a bigger name than Brook at the moment but they are doing the same numbers as you in the UK give or take. The promotion on this side of the pond has been dismal maybe because its a tough sell Detroit is no Vegas. But embarrasing would mean that the figure is reflective of support and it isnt its a TV fight and you know that Billy better than most.

I think that Ricky is rightly talked about in the top 3/4 in his division has got a world title and defended it succesfully against more well known fighters.
That and the fact you dont have to do a great deal to have the whole of Scotland behind you.(Proclaimers)
That said i think if it goes right this year Kell has the potential to be a if not thee top name and a credible one at that.

Its not really a clear cut yes or no i like what Ricky has achieved against the odds and im a massive Brook fan both quite worthy of their status.
