InCorrect Fight Result:Gene Wells-Johnny Vaughn 1967

Boxrec has Gene Wells knocking out Johnny Vaughn. However, I have the Nov.1967 Ring Magazine. On Page 42, Tom Ephrem of the ring reported,


"Gene Wells, Savannah, met Johnny Vaughn, Miami. What was said to be an epilptic seize came upon WELLS as he was moving away from Vaughn's right hand. He (Wells) gazed at the ceiling and his head jerked to the left. VAUGHN took advantage and scored with three hard wallops to the head. WELLS dropped and began convulsing. The referee moved in quickly. They are middleweights.

I believe this should be a first round KO for Vaughn.
