Look on Trivago or lastminute or whatever, you lazy twat! :DD

Probably about £420 for flights and about £200 for two nights at a decent hotel within easy walking distance of the arena e.g. The Atheneum would be £215 for two nights and is half a mile from the JL Arena.

You don't get to be this size by doing things yourself. Just thought obviously people would be going from here so easier to find out from them. If its that cheap might take the Mrs out there been married 8 months and still no honeymoon
Im sure she'd love a romantic trip to minus-degree Detroit in snowy February.

mmmmm not so sure i'd want to check out too much of Detroit off the beaten track. It tops the 2012 list of most dangerous cities in the USA.

As with any city there are good places and bad places to be, you can easily get mugged in the middle of a busy city centre, or have a great time. Sometimes its just about being in the wrong place and the wrong time.

Detroit has got a bad reputation, but i'm sure it would be an experience to go there to watch the fight, just got to keep your wits about you.

I would not advise wandering around the motor city aimlessly. It can be a scary place. Back in 2001 I made the mistake of walking around looking for a taxi late at night with my boss and we were lucky to esacpe with just our watches and wallets taken. It was also the first (and last) time I was called "white boy bitch"

Thanks for that. I was worried that I would go the rest of my life without ever being called that again.

It's probably true. It's not unheard of for people to have difficulty with the spelling of such words.
