My concern is with the Board.

They are the one's who should be under scrutiny.

All those big tough words about Hatton and Chisora when they got licences revoked.

When they then start giving licences back to those individuals they have castigated, I am saying they need to look at what they have said when they have held the moral high ground, and compare that against their actions to reinstate a licence.

It's stinks of hypocracy and makes you think what kind of regulator we have.

It's a bit like the FSA closing down a rogue bank and then a few months later letting it reform and trade. If that happened in this climate there would be outrage.

Chisora is good for British boxing and should be re-licensed. I don't think he's anything special as a boxer but he has got a pair of stones and a personality to go with it. He's my favourite British heavyweight.

Chisora should keep well away from Price what he needs now is some careful matching he has already been overmatched too often and has plenty of miles on the clock for a 19 fight fighter. He has balls and deserves a licence and a few easier opponents.

The Haye loss was a heavy one. But the losses against Vitali and Helenius were far from bad.

A good fight would be him vs Bermane Stiverne, both swinging away would be brutal and great entertainment.

As long as Stiverne defeats Arreola in March which he should do.

He holds amateur wins over Helenius and Price and can really whack, but Chisora is very game !

Let's get a couple of things straight on here. Yes the board did take away Ricky Hatton's licence to box due to the lurid stories of his drug taking etc, but they did leave the door open for him to clean his act up etc which is what he went away and did as a result he got licence back to fight Vycaslav Senchenko which saw him get sliced in half and sent back into retirement from the ring to concentrate on his growing training and promotions stable. Dereck Chisora had his licence suspended due to his outrageous and unprofessional antics against Vitali K and then David Haye who then proceded to beat the bejesus out of him for five rounds after they both got a Luxembourg Licence etc.

They both had (for differing reasons) their licences withdrawn or whatever you wish to call it for conduct the Board deemed make them unfit to hold a licence through drugs etc for Hatton, and anger management issues for Chisora, but the Board have pretty much stated if you proved you have effectively addressed these issues then we will consider giving your licence to box back when you resubmit your application and have met the necessary criteria to classify as a "fit and proper person" to hold a licence to box issued by the British Board of Control, which is what they have both proved that they are. To say that money talks etc I think it is a complete lot of nonsense in my eyes.

I don't believe that nonsense that Hatton's and Chisora's licences were "temporarily" suspended pending they cleaned their lives up.

got to agree, the board just make decisions on what they think will be popular with the media. I dont think they dont make informed decisions and seem to be governed by their pockets a lot of the time.

If the media cry blue murder over something the board suddenly release a statement agreeing and taking the hard line, they then realise they have shot themselves in the foot and backtrack on their decisions.

Although they really did show their might over Haye v Chisora - chisora got a career high payday, the fight was huge and turned into one of the most exciting hw bouts in the UK for over a decade, the massive threats made by the board turned out to be all bark and no bite and now both boxers have their licenses back. Who lost out? The board.
