John Sheppard had the first thread welcoming the world to the site, which was a thread on the first forum back in either 1999, or 2000, the current forum had the first post sometime in late 2001. All the posts from the old forum use to be accessable, of course no one could respond to the threads, but everything was available to read, I don't know if they were lost, deleted, or just stored away.

Glad you mentioned that Barry as I used to look through theold posts for info and as you say they still exist or where lost when all the problems with the new server took place.

so John if you read this whats the score on putting them back on

are we suggesting that the new threads and posts aren't what they ought to be?

However I am curious, love to look through archives, bit of a history addict.

after a period of time posts were sent to an archive which wer for reference onlly. they were locked out for additions. When the new server came on this section was no longer available.
