I think this photo of Bugner with Muhammad Ali may have also been taken when Bugner visited
the Fifth Street Gym in Miami July 1970

Mystery photo.
Certainly neither boxer next to Bugner looks like Emile Griffith as captoned in photo.
The man on the right to Bugner looks more like Jerry Quarry to me.

Here is a link to a posed portrait boxing photo of a young 18 year old Joe Bugner.
He had just turned 18 a few weeks before and had already 4 professional fights
from the date listed on this photo(29.March.1968).

(his hair style here looks a bit like Michael Caine's you think?)

Most likely it possibly lists all of Joe Bugner's amateur fights up until then.
Maybe someone can e-mail the seller and ask him to provide the info?

You don't have email?
I e-mailed the seller last week of the 1967 ABA London championships programme and had ask them that I really wasnt interested in purchasing it but if they would please provide Joe Bugner's amatuer record from it(if it was listed in it)
Not surprisingly i haven't recieved a reply as of yet.
However I did find some addional info about Bugner's amateur career and who it was that his other amatuer loss was to
(A Northhampton heavyweight).I'll link the newspaper article up later.

I think the booing goes well back early in Bugner's career.
In his 15th pro fight, reportedly Bugner was booed and jeered at the Ulric Regis bout in March 1969.
for not knocking Ulric Regis out after having him on the canvas twice .
That fight went the full scheduled 8 rounds.
Ulric Regis seemed allright when the decision was given, but the next morning they were unable to revive him
at the hotel. He died several days later during an operation to remove a blot clot from his brain.
I think that may have been the last boxing match ever held at Shoreditch Town Hall,London.

Looks like Mac Foster may have gone to the same hair-stylist as Dolemite did in 1973.
