Maybe, but I doubt he thinks this Brook is the same one who fought Carson Jones.Old bones Ian wrote:If Alexander watched the Carson Jones fight it would hardly leave him quaking in his boots. Its a money thing for mne, his promoter would like 2 seperate shows.

If memory serves me right it was Brook that pulled out last time, so we stand at 1-1 in pull outs.hoot wrote:No its the pictures , Kell looks like a monster, Devon needs more time to prepare, If he pulls out again it's a double Duck

Guess you are right. it's just that I could find more reason for Devon to duck, as he is a Renowned Quitter,Old bones Ian wrote:If memory serves me right it was Brook that pulled out last time, so we stand at 1-1 in pull outs.hoot wrote:No its the pictures , Kell looks like a monster, Devon needs more time to prepare, If he pulls out again it's a double Duck

Why not? It happened only 7 months ago, you know, Brook gushing blood and going life and death with the very limited Carson Jones.Ratchet Exits Nu wrote:Maybe, but I doubt he thinks this Brook is the same one who fought Carson Jones.Old bones Ian wrote:If Alexander watched the Carson Jones fight it would hardly leave him quaking in his boots. But hey, someone whose recent opposition is among the best in boxing is terrified because his next opponent, a professional athlete, looked to be in good shape in a picture.
Re: Brook v Alexander off??
Maybe they can find a proper venue for the fight with the delay. Let's say ummmmm..... St Louis, where it should have been from the start.

Conspiracy theorists over on BS are convinced that there's nothing wrong with Devon, but ticket sales are so poor only a couple of hundred have been sold and this fight will be piggy-backed onto another event. Don't know whether that's true, but outside of St Louis Devon has zero fan base and with the best will in the world Kell isn't going to be taking many fans to the US.ArtOfWar wrote:Maybe they can find a proper venue for the fight with the delay. Alexander should have agreed to come over here for the fight - simple as.
With this latest development I wouldn't rule it out now.

Yes, the man who fought Maidana, Bradley, and Matthysse is worried about Brook.
All natural Lt Welters.
He quite Vs one and ran form the other.
Maidana is not skilled. Brook is a big welter and dangerous - low reward high risk.
Maidaina is not against quitting.
Lets be sensible here and conduct this debate from a neutral standpoint and not from Kell's ass where you seem to be residing.
If you look hard enough, you can find faults, weaknesses, and excuses in every single boxer on the planet but to to criticise Maidana and Alexander as an attempt to defend Brook is ridiculous.
Alexander is an experienced champion who has shared the ring with world class punchers at the highest level and no we're meant to believe that he pulled out of a fight with Kell Brook because of a photo that was posted online. What was Alexander expecting? Brook to turn up with a beer belly?
This is a close fight that could go either way but USA advantage for Alexnader is crucial i reckon and that makes the fight sway slightly in his favour.

Bicep injury could be true, we will never know if its not but there's no doubting that brook has make significant changes since the Carson jones fight and addressed the issues he needed to. If Alexander doesn't turn up 100% fit and ready he will get beat easily, so maybe he wasn't going to be ready in time, his own picture from 8 weeks out didn't look like he was on point.

Fvcking shitty conspiracy theorists over there!
They should come over here & have a look at our conspiracy theorists, who somehow believe a domestic operator who's stepped up to fringe world class twice (& struggled like fvck to beat a gatekeeper type in one of them) is terrifying one of the most physically ripped world champions of our time (who has fought & beaten proven world-class hard-men like the two Argies, Juan Urango & Kotelnik) with nought but photographs of his bulging pectoral muscles.
Far far better class of conspiracy theorist round these parts. Well done lads, you make me proud.

How dare you!
Let's stop talking in cold hard facts about the world champion-level fighters Alexander has bested & start talking playground-level five-pints-to-the-wind shite about Brook's physique, please!
Get back in Kell's arse this moment. The rest of them might be feeling lonely in there by now...

Look past the photo and you'll see a limited fighter with little head movement who hasn't fought anyone at world level.
I bet Alexander is shítting himself.

Maidana can punch but is crude as they come. Bradley lacks power but still made Devon quit, and many felt Matthyse deserved the decision over Alexander.Chris W 1982 wrote:Yes, the man who fought Maidana, Bradley, and Matthysse is worried about Brook.Ratchet Exits Nu wrote:This.taffytoon wrote:Times like this social networking is not a good thing. Brook can bang, can box, is fast and is hungry as hell. I can see why he's an opponent Alexander would be happy to swerve. Kell lacks profile in the states, but only a fool would fail to recognise the genuine threat he posed to Alexander. I don't think Devon's a fool, in fact i think it'd dawned on him that he was in danger and he's sidestepped the fight.
Better to lose his strap to a big name fighter than lose it to a guy who the American's haven't really heard of.

I honestly dont think people on here are up Kell's arse but for years constantly having to defend your view point from mugs who rate Khan as a legend it may appear they are.
Tongue in cheek its said Devon shit his britches cos Kell looks good in a photo and out come the haters.
Clearly twitter did'nt have a input..... Moron's
I honestly still believe you've seen fornicate all of what Kell Brook is capable of so stop hating and wait he nearly got beat yes was he in shape no.Did he come back looking a different fighter yes and KO'D his nearest rival for the shot with a JAB.
He has waited and earned his shot so yeah we defend him and support him up ...but as for being up anyones arse no mate

You & other mighty intellects are saying a domestic class fighter with one close win over a gatekeeper is scaring a proven world champion by flexing his biceps.
Yet you are not "up his arse".
You are obviously reasonable & balanced & sane & non-partisan.
I need leisure pharmaceuticals, right now. But probably not as strong as the ones you are on.

Re: Brook v Alexander off??
Datsue,
I think if you read TJ's post what he's saying is that someone said for a laugh that Alexander saw the photo and shit himself. I don't think for one minute any true boxing fans buy that but I tell you what I wouldn't rule out a pull out on economic grounds.
As painful that is for Kell I think that could actually turn out ok for him because maybe just maybe we'll get this fight in the UK now - which is where it should have been in the first place if Alexander had thought finances instead of maximising his home avantage.
As for being up Kell's arse - no mate.
Actions speak louder etc ...... but I fully expect Kell to endorse the faith being put in him by some posters around here.

Re: Brook v Alexander off??
I'm gutted
, would lose money on flights so going to New York for a few days.
Loads of lads losing money unless Goldenboy pull the fingers out, April 27th Garcia vs Judah in NYC is perfect replacement.
Yeah I know politics Showtime & TV dates but it would make sense.
Kell is also gutted but going to tick over until confirmation.
As for Alexander, could be genuine, or something in camp may not be right and need more time.

Well if you mean Promoters/Broadcaster, Alexander has THE best in the business.
Re: Brook v Alexander off??
Out of curiosity, who composes the team you mention, when did they start working with Brook, and how do you know that Alexander is impressed with the team? I'd also appreciate it if you posted the picture of Alexander that you're referring to.Oh I dunno, maybe it's down to the very public display that brook now has one of the most professional teams in boxing behind him. Bicep injury could be true, we will never know if its not but there's no doubting that brook has make significant changes since the Carson jones fight and addressed the issues he needed to. Brook's only opponent since facing Jones 7 months ago was a mediocre fighter, and the fight went only three rounds, whereas Brook's trouble with Jones didn't start until roughly the fifth round. I don't think that good evidence can be extracted from that performance to support the claim that Brook has made significant changes that will translate into improved performances against top opponents like Alexander, and I don't think it is wise to assume that because Brook has made certain changes in training that he won't have stamina issues against top opponents who will push him and last rounds.
The claim that Alexander will lose unless he is 100% fit is unwarranted and based on nothing that either fighter has done inside the professional ring, and I doubt that Alexander agrees with the claim as you seem to assume he does. Also, if he decided not to fight because he's in relatively poor shape, that decision may reflect a concern about making weight and keeping his title, rather than a concern about losing to Brook.
