boxing on closed circuit circa 60s& 70s

I am interested to hear from anyone who went to watch the big fights on the big screen in the above period.

What was it like to watch Ali in the cinema? Was there cheering or chatter like at a real fight venue?

I know they used to sell programmes at the cinema.

It was before my time but I wish it was still done today.

Any thoughts on the experience would be welcome.
