The fight was set for 12 round and when it go to the tenth the ref said last round. The comentators didnt even know what was going on. If it went 12 Sunny boy was getting KTFO!

That was shocking. Funnily enough I think Sonny may have escaped if he'd been cautious.

Why stop the fight I hope there is a rematch it was actually a good fight.

Im sure the WBA will be looking into it, Aren't all title fights suppose to be 12 rounders anyway?. And has anyone heard what Botha had to say about it?.

How do you change a 12 round title fight to a 10 rounder, when clearly titles and rounds are scheduled and verified and contracts signed????
sorry but am I missing something here or is this what the crime commission referred to as "fixing".....????

Rather ironic that in the week the Australian government makes a statement about the use of illegal substances in sport and match fixing and this happens.

The bout was clearly scheduled for 12 rounds for the WBA International Heavyweight Title. In the build up to the fight all the talk was it of being over 12 rounds. Then at the start of the 10th round the referee announces that round will be the last. The commentators on Fox Sports express their surprise and then after the fight the corner man of Botha in a live interview on Fox Sports expresses his disillusionment that before the start of the 10th round the distance of the fight was changed from a 12 rounder to a 10 rounder.

Surely their will be an inquiry, what does this say about the running of the sport of boxing in Australia and Queensland?

Why did the Queensland boxing officials or the WBA official present at the fight not step in at the time and make sure the bout went 12 rounds?

Surely the general public watching have the right to an explanation?

Cash, corruption , match fixing thats what happened tonight. Ref and alot of others in on it you could see it in the interviewer way he avoided the question when bothas camp asked about the schedule 12 rounds, the way the ref was, commentators not making much mention of it , all glossed over and hoping we ganna eat it and not say anything. What about all the Betting cash that went on the fight.

Fox Sports now reporting that the ref was told at the start of the fight not to mention how many rounds it was going. Disgrace.

Just spoke with an 'insider'.... Much more to come of all this. Stay tuned.
I am genuinely feeling embarrassed by what has happened tonight.

Anything reported on Fox Sports Australia has to be viewed with skepticism, they were the company broadcasting the PPV channel in Australia so there is a potential conflict of interest there.

adamheight was a judge tonight i believe, maybe he could shed some light on the specifics of the fight scheduling.
sorry if i am bringing you up in the wrong way, but i certainly dont mean that. i am just looking at what was supposed to be scheduled, and what happened.
from what i am hearing this is just a disgrace to this sport. and a shame that it would happen after yesterdays announcement from the acc.
if we as fans have been gipped of a legitimate event, then we should all "vote with our feet" so to speak. boycott any event involving SBW, or khoder nasser. provided they are involved of course

I think this is wrong to change it from 12 to 10 rounds but look here? I thought Championships were always 12 rounds.

The Australian is reporting Alan Moore commented that none of the judges were informed it was a 10 round fight. They only realised when the the announcer said final round starting the 10th.

That was edited after the fight. Before and during the fight it was listed as 12.

All bookies had it as 12 as well.
