What a great tournament! My gym has been blessed to have Regional Champions for the last 5 years, and we got our 4th National Champion this year! Best tournament in the US hands down!!!

Funny you told me the same thing when I walked passed you at Nationals. And not too many people will be upset with you, seeing as we got more haters than supporters..
Dude I said your kid was good too, I just think the otha Jones was the best talent I saw there by far, even better than my own son. My son even agrees Otha was the most Talented kid there. As far as having haters ,no big deal they don't pay my bills.

Further more , I told you your kid was one of the most talented kids I saw , but that.was before I saw the Otha Jones kid. Once I saw him I didn't personally see any other kid with the overall talent he has , my son included

wish my kid could have fought in that tournament. He beat Gabriel Flores in Oakland last year. Khalid Mahasin is one year older though, i dont think he would have been in the same category. yes i love Gabriels Flores style and he is a good kid- i just wish my kid didn't have so many issues going on- my kid Khalid Mahasin is a dynamo 95 lbs with an exciting style- cant touch him.

Coachb ,is your kid southpaw? The Flores kid is really talented as were sum other kids I saw there. I think I saw you kid fight at kings ,if I remember correctly he is very athletic. I think you kid went to middle school with my kids? It's unfortunate we get some really talented kids n Life gets the way of them reaching their true potential.

My kid is orthodox but he can switch up. when he trains he is all business its just that he is at an age where he needs 24/7 guidance. i am not his mom, just the coach so i have limited say over some things. Love the kid though. He is supposed to get back to training. I hope to see him back on local cards this year. after 7 fights last year 6-1 record here and we started in october , he beat all but andre conway and that fight really was a win in my humble opinion but very close. He won the regionals last year. Congrats on Suray. I am a big fan of both Rob and Suray.

Yes Rob is the best Coach for Suray they make a perfect team.Hope you get you kid back in the gym, its rough at times keeping the kids focused. If you kid could beat The Flores kid and have a close fight with Andre he must be really Talented and he doesnt have that many fights so plenty of room to grow. Good luck Coach

National Silver Gloves is The Super Bowl of Amatuer boxing for kids 10-15 and probably has much more bearing on rankings . Maybe Mike can inform us if this is true or not but whom ever wins National Silvers would've had to beat Champion after Champion, especially in the lower weight classes. The Kids That Actually are 2013 National Champions Deserves to be #1 . The other tournaments are not no where near as tough as Silvers, which takes months to complete, where the others are mostly done n a few days. These Young Men that Are National Silver Gloves Champions 2013 have proven to be the best of the best until proven otherwise

Silvers Gloves Champions = Superbowl Champions the best of the best . No knock on the other tournaments but they just don't take kids thru such a rigorous and demanding journey as National Silvers does. The Other Tournaments = Canadian Bowl Champions , once again no knock on the other tournaments but they are not as demanding especially in the lower weights those kids have to beat top talents to be the very best in The Game. No knock on Canada either lol

New National Silvers Gloves Rankings Just released congrats to The Kids who were blessed n worked really hard to reach #1. It will be interesting to see if any of the kids can Repeat next year. Another extreme Talent I had the pleasure of seeing At Nationals was the Kid @ 178 Wahzir Beyah, that kid is really quick and has one punch knockdown power. He seriously hurt each opponent he fought . The kid is like a young Roy Jones . It's to bad Wahzir didn't get to Match up vs The Mahmutovic kid, would have been very interesting. That Mark Castro kid is also a very good Talent #1 @ 85 12-13 Its gonna be extremely hard for kids to deal with his extreme constant presssure and punches n bunches
